• Good free breakfast buffet for the star level.
• No maid service while I was there!

“This is a large, older, budget hotel that is nicely landscaped. The free WiFi, in room microwave and refrigerator, and ample free breakfast buffet are worth the stay if you are okay with very basic room amenities. While I was there (2 nights), my room was not attended to by the maid service. Each time I returned, the maid was gone for the day (to 12 noon only).”

• Convenient location.
• Could hear easily thru the walls, the plumbing sounded like it was behind the headboard!

• The staff was very helpful and gave us a late check out with no charge.
• The extra $20 charge to have 2 beds, other hotels have not charged us that.

“Very nice location and grounds were nicely cared for. Nice restuarant across the street. Rooms were nice and roomy. Would stay there again.”

• Cleanliness. Stains on bed sheets.

“Stains on bedsheets. Not the comforter, the actual sheets you sleep with. They tried telling me it was a water stain. It was one black water stain.”

• Great location, staff is always pleasant.
• It's loud. It's an old property and hasn't been updated.

“Great location, staff is good. The only drawback is that it's a bit loud. You can hear people walking up/down the halls, maids in the morning. If I were in my room more, it would be an annoyance. Don't plan on sleeping past 6:30 am.”

• The room was clean and beautiful. The ponds and the ducks added a unique touch to the place. It made you feel peaceful and comfortable.
• The front desk attendant should be more friendly.

“The room was of comfortable size. The pond and the ducks were wonderful. We loved the little pubs with information for local restaurants.”

“Very nice, updated rooms/big rooms and, bathrooms old but clean. Our room was overlooking a pond and it was very quiet and nice, the beds were both queens.”

“My mother and I were traveling through Santa Barbara and Room available was one king bed at the Ramada. We asked the front desk person (at 7 pm) if she could give us two double beds. She offered with a charge of $22 more.”

• Amenities including refrigerator, microwave, extra pillows.
• I liked the entire experience.

“This hotel more than met my expectations. The bed was comfortable, there were lots of different density pillows, a microwave, refrigerator, balcony, and numerous items in the bathroom including shower cap, sewing kit, shoe cloth, and even a rubber ducky! Even though it was right off the freeway, it was very quiet. I highly recommend it for any type traveler.”

• It was clean, accessible and reasonably priced.

“This hotel definitely met my expectations. It was very clean, comfortable and accessible to other facilities (like the airport and restaurants). The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even with rude customers. I would recommend this hotel to others. The cookie upon arrival was a nice touch!”

• Wi-Fi in room did not work, but we used their business centre. Location not great.

• The pond/pool area was beautiful and peaceful.
• There wasn't enough seating in the breakfast area for a holiday weekend.

“The room was nice, but the paint was peeling on the wall in the bathroom and there were some other maintenance issues.”

“The bathroom shower needed regrouting or recaulking. The bathroom did not have proper ventillation and it smelled very sour. The mirrors had not been cleaned in a while, they had a layer of dust on them.”

• Modern looking, cute grounds area.
• Location was a little strange, right off the freeway with screen doors right on the ground floor balconies, may be a little unsafe for 1st floor guests?

“The hotel was great. I really was looking to spend much less than that and would have been happy with a hotel that had less amenities, as I just wanted to come up for a night and see Santa Barbara. But for someone on a little bit of a higher budget that wants a place that looks nice, decorated well, etc. I'm sure it's a great fit.”
