  • Location, parking, security. I felt safe.
  • Rooms were small, no free Wi-Fi, cable TV was poor, bear minimum, coffee in the hotel was horrible.

“Rooms were well decorated, and very clean. However amenities were trapped in a time warp. No free Wi-Fi, crappy channel selection, table in room was the size of a night stand, so very hard to do work on the computer. I would not stay here again. The coffee bar in the hotel served mediocre coffee, no decent coffee place anywhere in site.”

  • Lobby area was immaculate.
  • Public area (bars/restaurants/casino) were too loud; outdated.

“Hotel Lobby belies the experience (attractive; updated). Rooms are small; outdated decor (theme is "Victoriana"). Other public areas are very outdated (restaurants and bars are very 80's; "cafeteria" style and buffet restaurants and "dark" 80's style disco bars). It doesn't work.”

  • Close to Highway 80.
  • The beds were awful.

“Nice hotel, you expect this for a casino. The beds were awful. Very uncomfortable.”

  • Very clean and everything you need is in one place.
  • The pool area was disappointing, very small, probably should be called a "kiddie" pool.

“Great hotel in a smart location. Reno is starting to lose its sparkle in my opinion, but this hotel was extremely clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have to leave the building for dinner, and it was a great and affordable buffet. The gambling was great too. And the price could not be better!”

  • I survived.
  • Bed bugs in room.

“I was awaken by bed bugs around 2:30 am and then placed in another room. The next day when expressing my concerns to hotel management and staff at front desk, I was asked by security to drop the issue or leave the hotel. The hotel sprayed the room and took samples of the bed bugs. I had to through all clothes and suit cases in trash to keep from carrying bugs home. The hotel said they would be in contact with me at a later date. I've heard from them, it's been almost one year.”

  • The shower had good water pressure.
  • Horrible bed and pillows, room service brought cold food, carpets looked like they were the originals, and restaurants closed early.

“The general location and nice appearance of the lobby is where the luxury ends. I had room service for dinner the first night and the food arrived cold. Second night went to try the buffet but it was closed by 8:00 pm. Went to the buffet in the other casino that was attached and they gave us 15 minutes to eat. At $18 I was not impressed! The parking structure had tight stalls so if you own a nice vehicular it is best to park on the top and you will also be able to open the doors to be able to get out. Over all experience was very poor!”

  • Quiet and clean.
  • Not enough handicap parkings.

“We like the prices and its a beautiful hotel.”

  • Hotel/casino theme/decor and restaurants better than surrounding hotels.
  • Rooms need to be updated, bed/pillows not comfortable.

“The hotel rooms need to be updated in order for it to be considered the its star level. The staff was friendly, but we had to switch rooms 3 times because of a broken AC unit and loud sounds by the elevator/service areas. We also requested more pillows/towels and waited over 1 hour before they brought them to our room.”

  • It was conveniently located.
  • Lots of smoking areas.

“The Silver Legacy is a decent hotel. The rooms are a bit small and not that luxurious. It is conveniently located with free parking. The restaurants are good, although expensive. The hotel is connected to Circus, which is really fun for the kids.”

  • Clean and convenient.
  • Hear noises like wind tunnel and people talking and laughing at 4a.m.

“I've stayed here before the rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable, the only thing I forgot was my flat pillow.”

  • The history and attractions, including their silver mine effect.
  • The only non smoking room was a handicapped room with no view.

“I love this hotel. Room was just bad this time around. The carpet really needs to be replaced. The wall paper is peeling off, the comforter was looking pretty used. There was no soap in my room. I had to call housekeeping. It took a while. The rest of the hotel is pretty nice. The house music engineers (for shows that have bands) need to be fired and replaced.”

  • Cleanliness and courteous staff.
  • Room smelled of smoke.

“Overall a great experience. I would have enjoyed having a coffee pot in the room, but all in all it was a fun weekend.”

  • Easy to get to from the freeway. Food and staff were all very good.
  • Probably my own fault but we didn't walk away with their money.

“Silver Legacy was easy to find off of highway 80. The check in area was very upscale. We were a little worried on the day we checked in when we found a fairly long line but to my surprise we were through it within 15 minutes and while in line we were presented with free champagne. We stayed in the Deluxe Spa on the 23rd floor and was very happy with the room. The bathroom itself had double sinks and a walk in shower as big as a room in itself. Ahh, and the room service was splendid. Always had fine food within 30 minutes! All the staff was very helpful and friendly. Silver Legacy is also connected to Circus Circus and El Dorado which made this the place to be. Great Bartenders through out the Legacy. Food was great. Simply put we were impressed.”

  • No bathrooms in restaurants.

“We went for a army convention and had a great time! Staff was great and rooms were nice. I also enjoyed the salon.”

  • This hotel was in a great location and was more than I had expected for Reno, NV.

“It was conveniently located between Circus Circus and the El Dorado Hotels. The rooms were as nice as the lobby and other common areas.”

  • Outstanding room-employees were very helpful.
  • The food in the buffet was cold, breakfasst and dinner.

“Every thing was eceptionally nice except the food at the breakfast and dinner buffet was cold (not even warm).”

  • Location near National Bowling Stadium.
  • No food specials associated with room stays.

“The Silver Legacy is situated within walking distance of the National Bowling Center and the Reno Events Center. It has multiple restaurants and a variety of gambling opportunities. The coffee bar in the lobby opens by 6:00 am. Valet parking and self parking are both underground.

  • Location is great in the heart of Downtown Reno.
  • Cannot think of anything.

“I really enjoyed our stay here, wish it could have been longer. We were visiting Reno for the annual Balloon Races. We had to get up at 3:30 am to get ready for the Glow Show at the Balloon Races, the shuttle was to be at our Hotel at 4:15 am. When we went outside and asked where the shuttle was, the valet told us that the bus was full and it left early. This was a city shuttle. When I told the valet that we needed to be at the Balloon Races now, he went and got another valet to get a Hotel shuttle and take us, and the other people that were waiting, over to the location of the Balloon Race. That was above and beyond! Thank you Silver Legacy.”
