  • Location is fabulous and the room felt like home!

“ I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to South Lake Tahoe. This hotel is one of my favorites, with the convenient location that lets you walk right out the door to all the casinos, to the outrageous staff that is always helpful and of course, a gourmet breakfast it's always hard to believe that it's free when you stay with them. The rooms are beautiful and you feel right at home. Excellent. ”

  • I loved the manager's reception with open bar. The hot breakfast was also very welcome before a day of skiing.
  • I didn't like the tacky fake fruit and fake plants.

“ Excellent location for skiers near the Gondola. It looks like a somewhat dated business hotel with the rooms around an atrium. The hot breakfast and the managers reception make it a good deal. The jacuzzi is also quite welcoming after a day of skiing. ”

  • Complimentary drinks, breakfast, and champagne.

“A surprisingly pleasant experience.”

  • Free drinks from 4-6:30!
  • It was an extra $10 for a DVD player in the room.

“A very nice hotel at a very nice price. Great amenities with a very courteous staff. Although it's definitely more expensive than other nearby hotels, I just don't think I can go back to an average hotel stay any more. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic, as were the free drinks from 4-6:30 in the atrium. Highly recommended. I will be returning soon.”

  • Great pool; free cocktail hour done very well.
  • Due for refurbishing- old wallpaper, furniture, TV's.

“Convenient location with spacious rooms, the Embassy Suites offers lots of amenities such as an indoor pool, gym, free cooked breakfast, free cocktail hour. However, the prices are steep and the $25 mandatory valet parking was expensive. The rooms were due for an overhaul, as the furniture and fixtures were old and worn.”

  • Great location.
  • For the price, I expected more.

“The overall stay was very nice. I would recommend the entire experience with anyone looking to stay here.”

  • Beautiful, clean, spacious!
  • Could use a full spa service: in room only!

“Embassy Suites is a beautiful hotel in a great location to casinos. Everything was clean and tip top! A little expensive though.”

  • The bed was soft and comfortable. The pillows were not the usual hard pillows.
  • Noisy - trucks backing up beeping & construction activity before 6:00 am.

“The water in the shower fluctuated to extremes between hot and cold. The shower door handle was loose & one side did not open easily. The refrigerator was not cold. Continuous noise from delivery trucks backing up (beeping), and other construction noises before 6:00 am. Window shade did not keep out early morning sun. Staff was friendly/courteous, bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Also on the plus side - Room was nicely laid out but somewhat outdated and the complimentary full breakfast was excellent.”

  • Location, breakfast, happy hour.
  • Rooms need to be updated a bit, especially bathrooms, TV's.

“Location was great, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, casinos. Access is good. Didn't like the $20 parking charge per night. Otherwise, nice.”

  • Location to area attractions.
  • Bed bugs!

“We (husband, wife, and three children age 12 yrs, 3 yrs, and 18 months) stayed three nights on the 5th floor room 520, in the corner. I noticed bites on my lower back and left leg in the morning and remarked to my husband that I had been bitten by something. The bites were in lines and clusters and were extremely itchy. I suspected bed bugs but my husband was skeptical because he did not have any, nor did our kids. I was the only one who slept in the bed next to the window (far side), however. The housekeepers seem to only know how to vacuum the main floor areas, and neglect the areas where the floor meets the wall. The underside of the beds was disgustingly dusty and I found items from the previous guests (a pair of ski gloves, and a plastic lid). Gross. I received more bites on the second and third nights. I wish that I would have said something to the hotel management before we left.”

  • Heated pool and Jacuzzi open till midnight everyday.
  • The walk from the elevator to my room was long.

“The hotel is large and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and warm. The room is spacious and the beds are very soft. I wish they had robes in the room for the trip to the Jacuzzi and back. Good location.”

  • Great breakfast buffet.
  • The hotel was not as nice as I had expected.

“Hotel was clean and had a nice buffet, but was overpriced. The Marriott next door is a much nicer/more upscale place for only a little bit more money.”

  • We liked the amenities in the suite, and the cooked-to-order breakfast was nice.
  • The concierge was definitely lacking. The entrance to the hotel was non-intuitive.

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we are going back in 2 weeks to spend another 3 night weekend. It is in a great location close to skiing, shops, and dining. This is a very family friendly place and the cooked-to-order breakfast is decent. The suites are spacious, and the bathroom amenities are nice too. We had a balcony with a lake view that was fantastic even when it was snow covered. The kids like playing there too.”

  • Location is right next to casinos, free breakfast, evening receptions.
  • Automatic $20 charge for parking car. Didn't know this beforehand.

“This top-notch hotel is conveniently located adjacent to Lake Tahoe's casinos and features large suites with microwaves and refrigerators, as well as free cook-to-order breakfasts and evening receptions.”

  • Great breakfast. Complimentary evening drinks were very nice.
  • A bit pricey for one night.

“Overall, my stay at this hotel was fantastic. The breakfast and complimentary evening drinks were a nice add to our stay. The 2 room suite was very clean, and met our needs. The overall establishment was very clean and close to all the Lake Tahoe major casinos (a plus). I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.”

  • The whole property was very clean. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.
  • There was a $20.00 parking fee. With the availability of free parking literally 100 ft. away I found it excessive.

“We found the property very conveniently located. We liked the layout of our room, very clean and comfortable. We stay in Tahoe a few times a year, and $199 a night was the most we have ever paid for a room on a weekday off season. That having been said, over all our stay was terrific.”

  • Well, we liked the size of the room and the elevator.
  • Hotel was right next to the casino's, while picture on the computer showed a wide open space by the Lake.

“Everything is functional and well, yet misses charm and real felt friendliness, we had a large but dark room with one rather small window, there was a smell of rubber in the room or rather strange smell, we ordered some food to be served in the room for a small romantic dinner, the food was pretty bad nothing to recommend about, the location of the hotel looked so great on the picture that's why I choose it for the first night of my then starting honeymoon.”
