“My friend and I arrived in an energetic ski mode and ready to enjoy a few days in Tahoe. We came upon the Inn and thought, well, looks can be deceiving so we ventured in. I paid and then drove to the small back lot where a dumpster took two parking spaces. As we walked up the stairs, it looked kind of scary and intimidating and there was an overwhelming odor of cleaning products, like they were trying to cover some other odors. We opened the flimsy doorway to reveal a room that was not like the pictures online. It was musty, flithy and a big disappointment. There was a small, shoddy window which looked like it should be looking over an alley in a bad part of town. My friend and I pondered if we could feel comfortable here. I could envision mice in the halls and hidden video cameras in the rooms. We decided that we could never reasonably sleep at all in a place like this and went downstairs to request our money back. They only gave us 50% and we didn't even care. Originally, I thought it was a good rate but frankly, I wouldn't spend a penny there-and no amount of money is worth my safety and having a decent vacation for a few days. I recommend any other place in town.”
