• We felt it was very cozy and thought it had everything you needed!
• Toilet didn't work too well but ultimately did the job.

“The hotel was actually better than I thought it would be. It had a pretty clean room although the TV reception wasn't very good. The breakfast was very good and was much better than you would think for this star rating. It was around an hour away from Yosemite Lodge where Yosemite Falls is. I would rate this hotel at 3.5 stars.”

• Simple room with clean, comfortable bed and adequate bathroom. Good desk for writing and computer.
• Thin walls but not noisy.

“Exceeded my expectations generally. Simple room with very comfortable large bed which was clean. Small desk suitable for computer which was handy to download and sort photos after a day at Yosemite NP. Enough features in room to make stay comfortable - iron and board, adequate wardrobe space with hangers, clean bathroom with simple amenities - soap and shampoo. Large flat screen TV with plenty of cable options, although someone took my remote control away after day 1. The hotel is right off the main street of Mariposa and there are plenty of dining, drinking, eating and shopping options to suit your needs.”

• Decent breakfast included.
• There was nothing to like about the tiny room, 40-year-old TV, stained carpet, tiny bath or showerhead 5 feet high.

“I would not recommend this hotel. The room was barely larger than the queen-size bed. The bottom, fitted sheet was a flat sheet that did not extend the full length of the mattress, leaving my feet on the bare mattress. The TV was about 40 years old with terrible reception, despite cable. The bathroom was so small the sink was in the room, next to the TV. The shower head was about 5 feet high, making shampooing very difficult.”

• Nice pool, staff very friendly, breakfast ok, location ok.
• Room was too small, bed not very convenient.

“Hotel is overall a good one. Most rooms are large, clean and nice, but the room was extremely small. Price was good but I would not stay in this room again for this price.”

• Hotel was well kept and the staff was courteous, rooms were as expected.
• Price was a little high for the location and type of room.

“Room was well maintained, however there was an ant problem in the bathroom. The staff promptly took care of the ants, but we had to air out the room when we returned from diner to get rid of the ant spray smell.”

• Quaint and the best in the town.
• We had problems with ants in the room, they spayed but day two they were back.

“The walls were thin and the next room noises were a problem. They room was nice enough. The pool and hot tub was enjoyed each evening. We were there three nights. Two of the three were noisy until after 12 pm and the ants were a problem two out of three nights.”

• Was clean.
• No elevators, had no choice but had to go 4th floor.

“Motel was clean for star rating, free breakfast was okay. They need an elevator to go up. Check in clerk said that you have to go on 4th floor to stay.”

• Dated rooms and not very clean (cork under the bed and hairs in the bathtub).

“Although Mariposa is a good 1 hour drive from Yosemite Valley. The hotel is in a good location if you want to visit Yosemite. There are not so many options anyway. Dated and dark rooms, not very clean. Free WIFI and breakfast a plus.”

• There was a nice pool and hot tub. There was a good continental breakfast with lots of variety.
• The room was old/run down and didn't appear very clean. The walls were very thin as it was a converted house. The mattress was hard and worn.

“The hotel appeared attractive from the outside. The continental breakfast was good and had lots of variety. The hot tub and pool were nice and clean. Part of the hotel is in a main building, but then there are 2 adjoining houses that have been converted to hotel rooms. The room was tiny and there was only a shower stall (no bath tub), so it was not very toddler-friendly. The mattress was old and hard. The room did not appear clean, probably because it was in need of maintenance. The interior walls (and door) were thin since it used to be a house, so we could hear our neighbors quite clearly. There was also only one wash cloth in our room (quite odd). Overall, it was an adequate place to stay as long as you're not planning to spend much time there.”

“I feel the hotel was very nice and comfortable but no Jacuzzi was available. I did find some trash under the bed. Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• Good location. A decent breakfast.
• Our room was too small, and the bed was too soft.

“I have stayed at this hotel, and most of the rooms are decent. However, on this visit we had a very small room, a low quality bed, and the wall separating us from the next room was too thin.”

• Front desk staff is very helpful. Breakfast is better than expected.
• Room is smelly, smoke, stale. Afraid to walk barefoot on carpet.

“We got a smoking room which we didn't request. Staff was very friendly. The room does not only smell of cigarette (which we understand) but also dirty. Hair in bathroom, old towel with holes, dirt on floor still. We were afraid to touch the coffee maker. Had we not had a long drive the previous day, we would have chosen not to take any shower in there. Inside the room looks and feels more like hourly motel.”

• The personal were very professional and knew the area well, places to see and go.
• The bed was a little uncomfortable the center sagged in the middle while laying on it.

“I was very happy with my stay in Mariposa. The personal were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a good location easy to visit Yosemite park. Good place to rest up for the next day of visiting the park. When I am in the area again I will probably stay here again.”
