• It was within walking distance of the town and all its businesses.
• The air conditioner was weak.

“I will stay here again. It was a great price with great location for getting out and walking to lunch and dinner. The owners were very cordial and wanted to make our stay satisfactory. Over all, we enjoyed the hotel.”

• Location - within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Solvang.
• Small grounds - limited seating in lobby for morning coffee.

“For the price we paid (low) we got a suite with a separate kitchen, separate dressing area, a balcony that overlooked the pool, two overstuffed reclining chairs. Although this is an older motel, it is nicely furnished with newer furniture and appliances. The biggest drawback I can see would be in the summer months trying to control the air conditioner. It's installed in the wall and requires the use of a chair to set the temp control. On and off switch is on the wall near the bed. Overall, we had a wonderful room which made up our minds to stay another night.”

• The location to shopping and the cleanliness of the rooms.
• Wouldn't pick a corner downstairs room for myself, but it was OK.

“The staff was very friendly. They serve a very good continental breakfast. The room has coffee and a refrigerator handy. It met all our needs.”

• It was close to a delicious bakery.
• The smell of urine was inescapable, in the stairwell, the elevator. This place needs to invest in some bleach. The personnel were surly as well.

“Check this place out, if you like the stench of urine. Also, I informed the lobby that our fireplace wasn't working (it was a clod room and this was the only touch of ambiance) and he was sure to tell me in his non-verbal cues that he was put out. He even told me to fund and light the pilot light, to wipe of this thing, check on that. He didn't want to do his job. In short, don't stay here, it's not worth it.”

• It's very convenient and safe.
• The decor is somewhat dated, but still very comfortable.

“This motel is in a prime location for local attractions. Parking is convenient. The amenities provided are adequate for my needs and include a pleasant continental breakfast. The office personnel are friendly, helpful, and professional. I have stayed here before, and would again.”
