“When my family and I arrived the clerk at the front desk looked very unfriendly. My son asked what time the hot tub closed and she said it's closed now when what he had originally asked was the time. Once we went to our rooms they were very dark and seemed very dirty. The sheets had stains on them, none of the trash bins had plastic bags, there were only 2 small towels and the shower only had cold water. The room was very cold. The hot tub had a thick grey rim around the top and it looked very dirty. During our whole stay no one came to clean out room.”

“I like the fact that they were accommodating and tried their best to help us out. They gave us a little bit discount by not charging us for additional $22.00 for extra bed for the first night. And they were actually very sympathetic to us.”

“It is a one star place and a typical Days Inn. For a resort area it lacks style. Asked for non-smoking room and they didn't have one. Very un-happy with that!”

“First of all it was hard to get through the parking lot especially with a large SUV. The snow needs to be cleaned off a bit more. We entered the lobby and it seemed like no one was in there. We waited about 5 minutes until someone came out check us in. The woman didn't look very happy to see us. She just continued to do her job and gave us the keys to our rooms. Our rooms were located on the other side of the parking lot so we had to more our cars and drive through the narrow roads of the parking lot covered in snow. We parked in a spaced that faced our room. As we walk in it was very dangerous because ice had formed in the front door steps to our rooms. I had to hold my grandma on the way to the room because I was afraid she would slip and fall! The rooms were decent but the walls were paper thin! You can hear a muffled sound of people talking, shutting doors, showering, flushing toilets, etc. Speaking of showering, the shower was very hard to handle. I was either hot or cold and there wasn't a way to adjust it to warm! Other than the hotel room, I did enjoy our trip to see the snow. The hotel was closely located to the Heavenly Resort and Harrah's Hotel & Casino, which were the places we were looking to visit.”

“I would never stay in this hotel again. Even though it is a no-smoking room it stunk like cigarette smoke, the beds stunk, there were burns in the bedding ( I assume from cigarettes). My son's asthma got so bad from the smoke, and we couldn't switch rooms. I would never stay here again, even if I had no other choice. I'd rather not go than stay at this hotel again.”

“I left this hotel furious but with no one to complain to-the front desk clerk was still sleeping at 10am. The room carpet had a grimy feel and the bathroom floor was dirty with dust, debris, and hair. The bathroom smelled moldy and the shower area was very dark and confined. In the morning, my boyfriend and I went to get the "continental breakfast" proclaimed largely and loudly on the motel's sign and found an unattended front desk with 3 Nutrigrain bars and an empty orange juice carafe. Around 10am we called the front desk to get a cab and the clerk answered groggily, just waking from sleep. In her slumber-stupor, she was not very helpful.”

“I was pleasantly surprised about this motel; it received very bad reviews so I was worried. It was clean, new bedspreads, 4 huge fluffy pillows per bed. My only concerns were the towels were small and smelled funny and the carpet could have been replaced or shampooed. Excellent room for the price. Tahoe is expensive.”

“I liked the vanity area and the set up of the table and chairs. The bed was comfortable and the pillows decent. It was better than I expected. I was disappointed that the staff was not always available.”

“I accidentally left my $130 pillow in my own pillow case (a different color than the motel's) at this motel, and when I called, the front desk told me that they couldn't find it, or the next guest might have taken it. In my opinion, the house keepers either realized it was an expensive pillow and kept it for them, or they didn't change the linens for the next guest, and they kept it. Either way is unacceptable! It's gross to think they don't change the linens, or that you better not leave anything of value behind because you'll never get it back. I called Day's Inn, and they said it wasn't their problem, that it was the franchisee's problem, and I am yet to hear from them. I will never stay at Day's Inn again.”

“Like many other hotels in south lake Tahoe, days inn is a little on the overpriced side for what they're offering. Continental breakfast is coffee and donuts in an office that smells of cigarettes, not a pleasant place. I guess 1 star rating describes it. Not so bad, but certainly not a motel that I would come back to willingly.”
