  • Central to shopping, bars, daytime shopping and the theater.
  • Sidewalks rolled up at 9pm in area of hotel. Nobody but bars open after 9 pm.

“We were given a room in the older section of the hotel where the floors creaked when you walked, the floor of the hall was leaning and creaked when you walked down the hall. For younger people, this would be no problem, but for older people, the hotel was not very conducive to sleep. The ceiling fan needed lubrication because it squeeked constantly. This was supposed to be a classy hotel but the room was really tiny and noisy. There was only 1/4 to 1/2 inch of toilet tissue on the roll when we checked into our room and no spare roll. The sink was open with only a rubber plug for a stopper. The hotel was supposed to have free wi-fi for the internet but it was not received in the room, only the lobby.”

  • Friendly, convenient, nice swimming pool.
  • Room was kind of quirky and small, but clean and comfortable.

“Smack in the center of Sonora, California. This is a quaint older building with Gold Country charm. I would definitely return to the Day's Inn.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • In-town, clean, friendly helpful staff.
  • Water temp got changed. Hot water blasted in middle of showering.

“Stayed in the main building, quaint and clean. Very helpful staff members. Close to restaurants and shopping in town. Also close to Yosemite which was my end destination.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[2] • Location:[3]

  • The shower head and too many pillows.
  • The noise from outside and the service of receptionist; not very patient.

“It wasn't what we expect, and we have trouble finding the hotel because of the remodeling.”

  • Old fashioned and comfortable.
  • No Pay Per View movies.

“I liked that they gave me a coupon for 10% off dinner at a local restaurant called Outlaw Barbeque. It was a short walk and we had a fantastic dinner there.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Historic building in historical setting. Wonderful staff.
  • Uncomfortable room.

“The rooms that were pictured on the website were misleading. Our room had been remodeled in the 1920's and was really uncomfortable 2 rooms into 1 with the bathroom stuck right in the middle, causing it to look a bit like a maze. All of the furniture was beat up and worn. The view from our window was the building next door, not 5 feet away.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[10] • Location:[5]

  • The exterior was very charming and nice mountain view.
  • Extension cords were used for electrical outlets. Extremely small bathtub 4ft. Holes in the wall patched but not painted.

“This was a very charming hotel with attentive friendly staff. Unfortunately because of the age of the building and or being in the process of upgrading the rooms our room wasn't completed. The electrical system of extension cords was not expected. You had the choice of TV or coffee Pot. Only one plug in functioning. The room was clean and inviting. Heating was noisy but comfortable. Room was quiet in terms of street noise The allow animals which was a plus.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Relatively quiet, nice staff, nice little smoking area outside.
  • No elevators, had to schlep heavy dog crates up to room, no place to walk show dogs.

“Very convenient, nice spacious room, noisy individual air conditioning, but otherwise very quiet. Very friendly staff. I travel alone to dog shows and have never felt as safe. Rates were excellent for a historic building in a gold-rush town. But there is pavement everywhere, and finding a place to walk dogs is a real challenge.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[6] • Location:[9]

  • It was conveniently located in the middle of town, next to all the shops.
  • The continental breakfast was very skimpy. Only toast & dry cereal. Showers were very small.

“This is your typical Days Inn. Not fancy, but not shabby. If you're staying in Sonora, it's a convenient location and easy to find. Rooms were very quiet. Never heard any noise from upstairs or rooms next door even though the hotel was full.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Location was convenient.
  • Carpet filthy, bathroom old and badly worn. Room upstairs was rented to 4 noisy migrant workers.

“We will not return to this hotel because the room was in poor condition and the management. Rented the room upstairs to 4 noisy men. When I called to inquire about whether the men were staying another night the management said no, but that a motorcycle club was coming. This is not a family friendly hotel.”
