• In need of repair, poor condition.

“Fences were nailed on upper deck. Couple fighting at 3 AM. Owners putting as little as possible into fixing it up.”

• Access to beach.
• Walls were paper thin - read inappropriate noises from romantic couple next door.

• Good location.
• Unfinished staircase - long walk to room with toddler and lots of stuff!

“Although this hotel is close to the waterfront, It still leaves a lot to be desired. One staircase was closed off and walkways/hallways were just sheets of plywood. There was a bird dropping on both windows that faced the bay and obviously distracted from the view.”

• Clean, cute decorations, helpful staff, close to ocean.
• Appearance from outside not so good.

“Enjoyed our stay, within walking distance to restaurants, ocean, staff was helpful with directions.”

• Close to bay.
• Needs to be updated.

“This motel is a throwback to the 1960's. Rooms were small and in need of updates. In room coffee service was nice but breakfast choices consisted of only a few Sara Lee pastries.”

• Family owned and friendly. Freshly decorated and clean.
• No air conditioning or hair dryers.

“This place will be lovely when they have finished the facelift. The stairs and walkways aren't quite finished yet. I was very disappointed for price with an air conditioner in late July and there wasn't so much as a fan. Very uncomfortable. Also, no hair dryer. Very inconvenient.”

• Location was good, you can walk everywhere.
• A child of 12 to 13 checked us in.

“The beds had no mattress covers, and the sheets were very old and thin. One set of pillows had shams on them and made you wonder if they recharged every time. A child checked us in, never saw a adult the whole time we were there. They were doing some renovating so maybe that is where the adults were.”

• Continental breakfast was substandard, no real cream for coffee.

“There was construction going on during my stay and one of the hallways to my room was blocked off. It would have been nice to know beforehand that the construction was happening.”

• Dirty windows, flooring was coming up in bath room.

“This location was great, the room was oversized which was very nice. The bathroom is very important for women and this one needed a major facelift.”

• They accommodated us when we arrived late in the evening.
• It was under minor construction when I was there, but no real complaints.

“I really enjoyed the room, the hotel was one block from the ocean we were able to walk to the strip and back to the room any time we wanted, there were also two nice local bars just 2 blocks the other way. Perfect location, clean and friendly!”

• Convenient to the wharf.
• The towels were threadbare.

“This is basically your bare bones motel. We stayed one night here and it was fine. The room was cozy, the place was clean and everything worked. There was renovation work being done so there were workers around and hammering but it wasn't too bad. The TV is from 1980, though, so if you're deaf like me and need captioning, don't even think about it.”
