• hotel is in great need of a make over, sheets were never changed

“We had checked out of the hotel, then decieded to stay another day, they gave us the same room, YUCK ! they never changed the sheets. I can see why the Red Lyon sold that property to Affordable Hotels, its run down and in need of many repairs to the bath rooms etc.”

• The lobby was clean, the continental breakfast was good.
• The room we were given smelled like urine; the staff helped by suggesting to "air it out"..

“I would suggest this hotel as only a last resort if no other places are available.”

• It was easy to find.
• It was dirty. There were hairs on the bathroom floor when we checked in.

“This hotel should be rated with one star. The room we stayed in was dirty. The mattress cover came off the bed if you moved. We woke up on the bare mattress (ugh!). The location is excellent and easy to locate. There was a swimming pool which people seemed to be enjoying. There was a free continental breakfast but we were afraid to eat it because of the cleanliness factor.I would not choose to stay in this hotel again.”

“Good value for the price paid. Rooms are reasonably spacious w/king bed and separate dressing area from the bath. Workably quiet environment w/good access to all downtown areas. Easy to find and good parking.”

“Our stay at the Red Lion, south, in Bend went well. The desk manager was very nice and we appreciated the good breakfast. It had snowed during the night--motel help was out early shoveling snow and de-icing the walkways. We also appreciated the warm room when we arrived in the evening.”
