• The multiple pools.
• Motel, expected a hotel.

“There was nothing to indicate that this hotel was actually a motel, so I was in for a surprise when I got there. All Red Lions I had stayed in before had been hotels, so that is what I expected. It was still nice and there was no reason to feel unsafe, I was simply disappointed I had not gotten what I expected. The multiple pools were very nice and allowed for easy access from any room in the motel.”

• They were out of rooms when we arrived.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn. The room was spacious, clean, and very inviting. The grounds were also well maintained. We enjoyed the facilities as well as the social hour and continental breakfast.”

• Bathroom a not cleaned properly.

“This hotel is conveniently located, the room was very large with a full kitchen and living room area. The free breakfast was great, with a large selection of breakfast goodies and a large dining room area.”

• We loved the nice quality bed and bedding.
• No posting of rates or check out time.

“I was very happy with this hotel. We had a really comfortable bed and the bedding was very clean. The room was nice and big and refurbished. There free movies and free microwave popcorn was a nice additional touch. They also have a really nice fireplace in the room but were sold out of the fire logs.”

• Good breakfast. Well-appointed rooms with sofas, dining table, chairs, and Internet access.
• Small debris floating in outdoor swimming pool.

“Excellent location a short drive from historic Old Sacramento. Convenient to restaurants including Elephant Bar, Chilies, Baja Fresh and Outback Steakhouse. Close to two movie theater complexes. Good hot breakfast. Nice facility and convenient rooms with hide-a-bed sofa.”

• Roomy, clean.
• Shows some signs of wear that should be addressed.

“I like this chain of hotel and stay often at them. This one shows some wear-toilet seat paint peeling, stove, fridge, microwave are old! We had reserved a room with a king and were put into one with queen. We were told multiple times we were too loud during the afternoon. We have 2 small children-we were going about normal daily functions, TV was on, showering, dressing. I thought that was absurd, so for family-friendliness. I don't think that was the case.”

• No option to have adjacent rooms with common door.

• Room was deficient. Snacks and bar were not avail.

“It is obvious that this hotel caters to a high society. Unfortunately our room, though satisfactory, was not up to the expectations nor the price. The snack cabinet and bar had been removed for repairs. Food vending was not available and soda machines on every floor were empty.”

“I have stayed here many times before because my son attends California State University Sacramento. However, this time there was no hot water for showers, and after 4 hours, we asked if we could go to a different room to shower. This suggestion should have come from the front desk, we should not have had to beg. Also, breakfast was included; however, there were many children who were running around and ate everything in sight, so we had oatmeal instead of eggs, potatoes, and French toast. The hotel should have had more to offer all of their guests.”

“This is a terrific place to stay in Sacramento. The staff is consistently customer friendly. Rooms are very comfortable with kitchen and sitting area. Menus for good restaurants that deliver are provided. Very clean and well kept. I have recommended this hotel to several colleagues who now stay there regularly.”
