• I liked that they had balcony's.
• Restaurant was over priced for quality of food.

“Overall hotel was fine. I was given a key to a room already occupied. The girls at the front desk didn't have as much professionalism as I would expect but they were friendly. I was also not the only one given keys to an already occupied room.”

• Needed upgrading.

“The hotel was nice in the perfect location, by the Arden Fair Mall. The rooms were a little small and needing maybe some upgrades. But overall is was what I wanted.”

• I liked the water feature and duck pond.
• Renovation underway.

“Friendly staff, convenient location, interesting wildlife area, but problems with duck protection and ducks wanting to get in the swimming pool. Some renovation going on.”

• There were no positives.
• What ever could go wrong, did go wrong. Very apathetic staff.

“Dirty carpets, coffee filters way too large for the coffee maker and the coffee maker had a bug in it, so it was fortunate that I checked before pouring water in the container! The elevator had chipped paint and chipped paneling and was very smelly. The hotel room had a bad odor, the staff was discourteous. I wish I'd written this review sooner, as I could more easily give an account of just how much of a nightmare this hotel stay was several months ago. How bad was it? Do not stay at this hotel.”

• Free cookies at check-in; spacious room.
• Tub was somewhat clogged and not the cleanest.

“The rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were pretty comfortable, with attractive clean bedding. We got chocolate chip cookies at check-in and a newspaper outside the door in the morning. The tub drain was somewhat clogged, and when we were filling the tub to bathe the kids, gunk floated up from the drain. That was the only real negative. Otherwise we were quite satisfied with the room.”

• They gave you a chocolate chip cookie when you checked in.
• Our room was rundown & the directions from the front desk clerk to get to our room was incorrect. When youre tired that's a huge problem.

“I would not recommend staying there. There are other options available to you in that same area.”

• Close to Shopping and Spa that we went to.
• Door did not go all the way to the floor, Both front door and bathroom door looked like they had been replaced with doors that did not fit.

“They had us in the very back of the hotel; there were not other cars park there, so I worried about security.”

• No fridge in room.

“Great restaurant, kind of a cafe look but the best food, and good prices. Very friendly staff, we enjoyed our stay.”

• Quality bedding & linens.
• No free internet service - not good for business travelers.

“Nice hotel with a friendly staff. They appear to be remodeling at least some of the rooms as of March 2008 as there is a lot of construction going on in the various wings of the hotel. Sure wish they had free internet service though.”

• Beds and pillows were fabulous. Great night's sleep.
• Small amount of mold under the bathtub faucet.

“Great location. Adjacent to Arden Mall and very close to Cal Expo. Short drive to downtown.”

• The bed and pillows were fabulous. Great night's sleep.
• Bit of mold under the bathtub spout.

“Great for business and leisure. Right next to Arden mall, many restaurants, gasoline/car wash walk to Cal Expo. Short drive to Capitol and Downtown. University nearby.”

• Incredibly friendly staff.
• It was a very nice hotel.

“Perfect for families, we had a very quiet night. They do have an awesome staff. It was crowded when we checked (45 minute wait), but they had a staffer passing out water. When they ran out of their trademark cookies, they were generous with the vouchers. We had a very "sweet" stay.”

• The staff was very friendly.
• Unclean rooms, drug dealers doing business inside & out- all day & night at will, undesirable nightclub clientele, and overall noise.

• Easy check in check out. Concierge at check out was extremely helpful.
• First floor rooms are too dark for my preference.

“The hotel was above average and I have no complaints. The room was very nice and all of the staff we encountered were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. We were there on business and really enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing and peaceful.”

• The staff was very friendly.
• The floors in the room were filthy.

“We arrived at check-in, the staff was nice and polite. The hotel has many rooms on a very large property. There were told our room number and the name of the building. When we got there, we were unable to gain access to the building. Luckily for us, security was patrolling the area. They told us we were at the wrong building. We went to the correct building and still could not get in. So we went to the front desk again and the clerk was extremely apologetic. He gave us the correct info and apologized again. We tried our luck at the new building and once again could not get in. We called the front desk and the clerk advised he was going to send security. Security arrived and stated they believed there was a problem with the door. Security walked us to our room, which I found spacious, but old and dirty. We did not stay the 2 nights we had already paid for. I would not recommend this hotel.”
