• Location was good..
• Ugly, worn, dirty, no control of air/heat, pool dirty.

“An awful experience, esp. after a week at the Doubletree across the street. Shady characters inhabited the rooms next to me, and and the grounds as a whole was in shambles. Pool was dirty and unkempt, as were the surrounding areas.”

• Next to the mall.
• Dirty, terrible staff, construction everywhere, smells bad, old and run down. No elevators, everything broken. Skimp on everything.

“After over an hour of waiting, I finally get to my outdoor and upstairs room (no elevators) and my key card they just made me won't work. I walk all the way across the property (since I was all the way in the ghetto section in the back) and they made another key. I walk back to the office and they move me to another room on the other side of the property. I once again pack my stuff back in the car and get to my room. The walkways are old and neglected, half of everything in the room was broken and even the TV took 5 minutes to warm up before it could show a picture. Seriously, this place is a total dump. One of the worst places I've ever stayed.”

• They put me in a newly remodeled room. Room configuration was great!
• Under construction, and first non-smoking room they put me in smelled of stale smoke.

“The staff was great. The original non-smoking room they put us in smelled of stale smoke, but they changed my room to one that didn't. The configuration of the room was very good and it was clean. The bed was VERY comfortable!”

• Probably the renovation, but it did not affect us.

• People friendly and helpful.
• Air conditioner blew at one speed only. There was a high, medium and low, but all worked the same.

“It is quiet. I'll stay again if I have the chance.”

• There were a few moderate stains on carpet in room.

• I only stayed for one night.
• Smelly, hot, old and staff said all rooms were full when hotel was mostly empty due to remodeling.

“The Red Lion hotel is old and smelly. It was a three in 1970 but age has taken it' toll and overall a step above Motel 6.”

• The location.
• The feature that you have to insert your hotel key in a slot and leave it in the slot in order for the light and TV to work.

“Over-all it was ok for a one night stay. Because the sink light would turn off automatically and very quickly unless I left the key in the slot.”

• People at front desk were friendly, room was quiet.
• Could put another trash can in bathroom. Shower head could have a better pattern of spray.

• The bed was very comfortable. It had a sink/mirror in the shower room and another in closet area.
• Air conditioning system noisy. Poor service in restaurant.

“Although a little tricky to get to the hotel, it had a very comfortable bed and was a nice clean room. The hotel staff (with exception of the restaurant) was very pleasant and helpful.”

• Rooms are beginning to look a bit shabby.

• Front desk clerk was very service/customer oriented.
• Don't expect service in the restaurant or a well maintained room.

“The Red Lion is a dump. Everything is under construction, remote wasn't working, restaurant can be empty. You have to go to the front desk to call and have someone come into the restaurant and wait on you, room was not overly clean, even though I was checking out that day housekeeping knocked on my door before 8:30 AM.”

• Easy access to room from car, several pools, ceiling fan, real crib, glassware (not plastic cups) in room.
• No queen beds - double only. My wife and I had to share a double.

“We stayed here for 1 night because our air conditioning was being replaced and it was 108 degrees outside. It was fine. Rooms are somewhat small but comfortable and clean. I was hoping for 2 queens for my wife and I and our daughter, but they only had 2 doubles, so we got that, and they brought a real crib (not a pack & play) for our baby. Bathroom had a shower, no tub. The room had a ceiling fan which is nice. The hotel is kind of a cluster of motels, with many rooms that you can drive right up to and park, which for us was very handy.”

• Below my room, there was a group of partners and the music kept me up all night. I don't understand why as half of the hotel is empty.

• Everything worked and the beds were very comfortable.
• Had trouble with the room keys on one occasion.

“I will go back and would recommend it to anyone. The Staff was very helpful, the Room was very nice, right next to the pool, everything worked and went off with out a hitch.”

• The staff was friendly.
• I could hear the freeway from my room even with the windows shut.

“My overall stay was nice and quiet even though there was a number of sports groups stay at the hotel during my visit. The hotel is right next to a freeway, so there was freeway noise that could be heard from my room even with the windows closed. The room was nice, clean and comfortable.”

• The hotel was very peaceful and quiet.
• The one night I ordered room service they forgot an item ordered and my empty tray stayed outside of my room for too long.
