“Staff was more than welcoming. They truly understood our needs. They were able to upgrade us to a suite, considering we had 2 young children. The woman we checked in with even went so far as to personally bring us keys to the suite as we were vacating the initial room. My husband travels extensively on business, and he commented that he had never encountered friendlier staff.”

“The complimentary breakfast buffet and the evening reception made this hotel a great for traveling families. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean and roomy. My only complaint is the a/c in our room did not cool the room but made it humid and uncomfortable. The pool and spa facilities helped cool us off, though! We had a great stay!”

“Clean hotel and good value for the money. Unfortunately the bed in my room was so worn that one side had a significant sag in the mattress. The other potential problem is that the location is in an industrial area and travel to and from the hotel to appointments/sights/restaurants can be difficult in commuter traffic.”

“I would like to thank the staff who directed us in getting to the hotel, even though I was stressing out and tired and completely lost, the staff at this hotel directed us. But it was us who would take the wrong road, but they continued to have a calm voice and redirected us all the way, that as we were pulling into the exit of the freeway, they were at the window of the hotel waving us down to let us know that it was there, and this is about a 1/2 block away and it sure felt good to see that, We really feel that it starts at the beginning of the stay and we are very happy.. and the hotel was clean and we had a refrigerator.. We need a refrigerator for the kids milk.. and we are very satisfy at there dedication and goodness to help.”

“The hotel is nice. However when we checked in the room was very big; but wasn't cleaned at all from whoever stayed before. So then we were given a much smaller room. To me that was very unprofessional to be sent to a dirty room.”

“This hotel was a wonderful surprise. The room was so beautifully decorated, we had a very comfortable king size bed and comfy pillows, too. The complimentary free buffet breakfast was awesome. We will be staying there every time we go to the Sacramento area if possible and we will highly recommend it to friends and family.”

“They have tried to create an environment of comfort without paying attention to the specifics (extreme cleanliness, smells good throughout the hallways and room). Beds were bouncy and pillows felt as if they were the rubber ones. On the other hand, the staff were great. If management could do some minor upgrades, this hotel could be a good one.”

“It was 110 degrees and the AC did not cool this room, we channeled the cool air directly on us with a magazine. The toilet ran all the time and I think the best was all the lights/lamps that worked were powered w/florescent bulbs. Gave it a horrible mood in the room. I would not have taken a bath in the tub --old and stained. 1 ply toilet paper--the siding on the hotel is rotting off. I would have moved except we used the "name your price" and did not want to lose my money. I arranged rooms for the same or lesser price for my family at the holiday inn capitol--gorgeous, clean and upscale rooms. Honestly, I've stayed in better rooms i.e. motel 6 years & years ago. This hotel should be reviewed, it is awful!!!”

“The hotel is older, my hallway smelled of smoke even though it was non-smoking. Pillows need to be replaced. Food was less than marginal. The room had poor lighting, but it did have a fridge. I only needed a smaller room, too much furniture on one side of room. The dresser was too small for the room if a family were to stay. TV was too small for room as well. Overall it was ok but I would rate it less than 2.5 just for overall. Amenities such as pool were not adequate, allowed perky type older men to hang out. My daughter and I felt odd and made for an uncomfortable stay. It was hot and pool was best choice to enjoy our stay. For the money it should have been better or should have been at least $50 less.”

“Was given a smoking room; nothing else available. Pretty much take it or leave it - after all I had already paid. No compensation offered at the front desk. Looks like an apartment complex; made up of several buildings. Not the safest of neighborhoods (typical of neighborhoods NEAR downtown but not right downtown).”
