• Nearby train noise.

• The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was nice.
• Everything was fine.

• Great location.
• Nasty smell, remodeling, old ugly rooms, no WiFi.

“Staff is great, location is great, but this place is really pretty much a dump. The walls are thin and the place has a weird chemical smell. They are remodeling, so there was dust everywhere. No WiFi, but they do have Ethernet (my connection didn't work at first, had to get somebody in to hook it up properly; not what you want to deal with at 11:00PM after being on the road since 5AM.”

• The location was great. Good parking.
• The room smelled horrible. It was dirty. The sheets were old and worn. Beds were uncomfortable.

“In this town I wasn't expecting the Ritz-Carlton. But this place was awful. We walked in a few minutes after happy hour ended. I just wanted to get a coke for my son. The bartender locked the door with several guests in there and after I pleaded she still wouldn't allow us in. That was our greeting. The room was dirty and smelled. The clerk said we could change. When I checked out the next room, it didn't look or smell much better. The worst part is that the beds were so uncomfortable that we had a terrible sleep. The only thing that was good about this place was the location.”

• Continental breakfast was very good and also the evening managers open bar.
• The maids did not leave fresh supplies when they cleaned the room on both days.

“The hotel and rooms were clean and quiet. The usual amenities such as iron with ironing board and hair dryers were supplied and working. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room which came in handy. The location was good - 2 blocks from the train station and right in downtown Davis.”
