  • Bed mattresses and pillows were fantastic.
  • Rooms a bit on the small size.

“Beautiful mansion house has great spaces. Fantastic and well equipped spa and fitness center. Very elegant garden and open spaces. Friendly staff and very good value for the money.”

  • Beautiful grounds, extra special treatment from great staff, great food, incredible.
  • It was all great.

“This was the greatest experience staying at any hotel or resort ever. The staff and service are far and away the best. They bent over backwards to help make our time spent there as pleasurable as possible.”

  • Exterior and lobby/public areas were beautiful!
  • Rooms were not as nice as public spaces.

“When you drive up to this hotel, it is very impressive. It would be a beautiful place to host an event like a wedding! The public areas are beautiful and they even have history/museum type atmosphere in the main lobby. The drawback is that the guest rooms are not nearly as nice as the public areas. The rooms desperately need an update because the decor is from the early 90s and the bathroom was a little grimy.”

“Great Heritage Hotel, great for relaxing and family.”

  • So much like a mansion.

“Very classy bargain.”

  • The hotel was beautiful and the grounds were lovely.

“Although the hotel was lovely, I get that as a Priceline client, I am not treated equally as a regular guest. It shows in how I am greeted to the room where I have stayed twice now. Even when I have asked to stay in the main building minus the very loud wedding party and their band. It made my stay less pleasurable.”

  • Beautiful, expansive manicured lawns and gardens.
  • Located in a blue collar neighborhood; no nearby restaurants seen.

“We took numerous pictures of the hotel and its beautiful gardens and wide lawns. Many hotel guests took pictures too.”

  • It had character, not just a cookie cutter hot.

“It was comfortable and had many extras that were included (free coffee, paper, hotel gym, park equipment).”

  • Wonderful for the price.
  • None.

“Upscale for unbelievable budget when purchased on Priceline.”

  • Beautiful historic place with lots of charm.

“Staying at this place was like a journey back in time. A lot of history here and a very romantic and pleasant place to stay. The room was on the small side but definitely sufficient.”

  • Very pleasant grounds, and the staff was friendly and helpful with our three small children.

“The staff was very friendly. Some hotels don't like to let us have one room to share with our three young children, but the staff here was great and didn't give us any trouble about it! We had a lovely clean room with a nice bathroom, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again if we're in San Jose.”

  • The location and the quietness.
  • Lack of communication between staff.

  • It was beautiful, inside and out. Smelled great, staff was super friendly and rooms were amazing.

“Staff was super friendly, and room was clean and friendly. Location is kind
of in the back, but if going on a romantic weekend, perfect setting. Landscaping was beautiful, as was the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.”

  • Very beautiful architecture & grounds.
  • The refrigerator in the room was very noisy - I unplugged it.

“This hotel was a private residential mansion. It is in a beautiful setting. There is a nice pool area with a jacuzzi. There is a large patio area that would be nice to relax on when the weather is warm. We checked in late & left by 11:00 the next morning. We didn't have time to explore the entire grounds, buildings, and public areas of the hotel.”

  • The history and the maintenance of the grounds were wonderful.
  • I did not like the fact that I had to leave out a special card to have my bed linens and towels changed.

“The hotel was beautiful. My room was neat and clean. The bed was so comfortable. The grounds were pristine. The food was some of the best I've ever eaten.”

  • Bathroom sink is slow to drain. Heater takes a while to warm up.

“While the hotel try to position itself as a resort, its location with respect to the neighboorhood makes it less of resort than a conference center/meeting space.”
