Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[2] • Location:[1]

  • Nothing.
  • The room was dirty and small. The location was in a bad part of town.

“Not any good.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[9] • Location:[2]

  • It was available.
  • It was the noisiest room I have ever stayed in.

“Poor acoustic insulation (walls windows). I could hear everything going on in the next room.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[7] • Location:[1]

  • Friendly staff.
  • Partial repairs to room ceiling.

“Hotel not in Downtown, without car you are stranded, hot tub not working, nowhere good to eat within walking distance, rooms in dire need of repair and updating. Outside of friendly staff, I would not recommend.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[6]

  • The lobby was quaint.
  • It was right next to metro and the sink was in the bedroom area. The area is not too great as far as things to do around the area are concerned.

“An older hotel that right next to the metro. Don't stay here if you are a light sleeper. Not too much to do in the area unless you have a car or take the metro someplace else. The staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast was a little disappointing, not good if you are diabetic because all they have are carbs to eat.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[4]

  • The furnishings were pleasant.
  • The neighborhood - star rating surprised me.

“The hotel was more a moderate priced hotel in a crummy neighborhood. Few restaurants available and kind of creepy area. Close to the airport and clean. It was fine since we were there one night and needed to be at the airport early.”

“It was an absolute dump and would not recommend it to anyone.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[4] • Location:[1]

  • Good beds.
  • Poor pillows and poor breakfast.

“It is located in one of the worst areas of san Jose. High crime etc. We would never have selected this hotel had we known about the area.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[6]

  • Staff was very helpful.
  • It is located right on a busy street.

“For the price, it was good place to base out of while doing business in Southern area of San Jose.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[8] • Location:[4]

  • The room was big and the bed comfortable.
  • We had to ask for towels which were of poor quality and the bathroom walls and tile floor could have used a good cleaning.

“It was satisfactory but not exceptional. The outside of the hotel was very impressive although not in a good part of town.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[1]

  • It was cheap.
  • Poor Service, Stench of urine, dodgy neighborhood.

“I got there late and very tired. There was a problem with the reservation; they thought I had ordered 3 rooms. He made me stand there for twenty minutes, go get my computer. Then he wanted me to thank him for all his help and not charging me for the 3 rooms! When I finally got to the room, it smelled like someone had used the hall for a urinal. The floor tile in the bath looked like someone was murdered there. I was going to get some dinner in the area, but finally went to the Burger King because I was afraid to get out of my car. I would never go there again.”

  • Surprisingly good breakfast.
  • Location.

“Map quest didn't give an accurate location and I was fooled into thinking this hotel was better situated to the downtown area - it was otherwise a pleasant experience.”

“The carpets in the rooms were extremely dirty. I now have two pairs of white socks that have to be thrown away because they would not come clean. We had to call the front desk to come in and toy with the bathroom to get hot water. The sink dripped constantly, and we had to turn off the water to get some sleep. The air conditioner/ heater leaked water, and the carpet near the window was constantly wet. The treadmill in exercise room was broken. None of us felt safe staying in the hotel. There was no easy access to any freeways, and no convenient restaurants or gas stations. While we were in the breakfast room, a hotel employee entered and proceeded to watch us like we were going to steal something until we left. It was a very uncomfortable environment in which to eat. Overall just not a good experience.”

  • It was quiet.
  • A bit difficult to find.

“Very nice, a bit off the beaten path, but we liked that.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[7] • Location:[3]

  • Quiet.
  • Smell and location was terrible.

“The property was quiet, but was not in a good section of town. Furthermore, my room smelled of urine and mold. I was not comfortable walking around in bare feet and was concerned about insects. For the San Jose area - not recommended.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[9] • Location:[7]

  • My sister had an extremely nice room on the third floor, clean and airy.
  • 1st floor room windows dirty, screen was on the ground, pool peed-in, carpet un vacuumed.

“My visit would have been much more pleasant if I'd been able to use the outdoor pool but the drunken man had already peed and thrown up in it. I had two rooms: the 1st-floor room the window was ample and operable but filthy, with no screen, the carpet had not been vacuumed adequately. Accommodations were pleasant enough with two queen beds, clean sheets, comfortable pillows and mattress. 1st floor room was odd that the sink/washbasin was not in the bathroom per se, but around the corner in the bedroom. On the other hand, my sister and her son loved their spacious third floor room which was perfect.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[3] • Location:[3]

  • The hotel had a nice bathtub.
  • The pillows were uncomfortable as were the beds.

“The quality of the hotel is what I would expect from a Comfort Inn not a Clarion. Also, the location left a lot to be desired.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • Everything was lovely. It was very clean and the breakfast was adequate.
  • The view was not spectacular we looked down on a parking lot and another motel

“The only question I have about this hotel is a scratching noise we heard in the ceiling or roof above us. At times we thought it may have been birds landing on the roof and other times we thought it was probably rats in the attic area. I was going to mention it to the attendant, but didn't have time to. They should be notified.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • I liked the balcony on the second floor.
  • The pool closing at 11pm on a Saturday.

“This hotel is in a good location for going to the fair grounds. it is on a major street so getting around town is easy. The hotel was always clean and had plenty of parking for the tenants pool was small but, spa was always heated.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[2] • Location:[1]

  • Covered parking, elevator inspection expired.
  • Dirty, unsafe balcony, broken fixtures.

“The Clarion is awful. the TV had to be repaired, but remained fuzzy. the Jacuzzi was broken, the frig, the sink, the microwave were broken. The balcony was spongy, don't think it will hold more than one. There was dirt and hair in the bathroom floor and walls, the location was impoverished. there were drunks and bums on the street.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[2]

  • Beautifully decorated and clean.
  • Poor location and no place decent to have dinner without driving 10+ Miles.

“The hotel has easy on and off freeway access. The only problem is it is in a run down edge of town and no place to go out by yourself at night. If you just want Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner this is the place as you need to drive far to find a decent restaurant.”
