“This hotel was convenient & close to downtown Monterey and the featured tourist attractions. However, the drain in the shower was so slow that water backed up & pooled up to your ankle, dirty water all around your feet was irritating!”

“When we came in, there were limited space for parking. The room was crowded but enough to move around in. The TV was not working properly, the screen was mostly red. I did try to fix it using the Tint, Color, etc. but it still would work. The door lock was not working properly and would open if you just push it from the outside, which was pretty scary. The four of us had to share one bed and a role bed due to limited rooms. The bathrooms look as if they just renovated it, looks nice. I've stayed at other 2 star hotel/inn in the past and this the worse I've been in.”

“The room, a queen, was relatively nice for the level of hotel, clean and comfortable. However, it was a little costly for a room at that level, cramped. A lot in a little space. Not a lot of parking, which was a little inconvenient.”

“This hotel was atrocious. The manager suite below was loud and the very strong smell from their Indian cooking permeated in the room for the duration of the stay. There was barely room for the rollaway (and only after we moved furniture). The hotel was very loud, the shower very dirty. The TV did not work well. Overall, atrocious experience.”

“Squeaky floor and thin walls, but not too much traffic noise. Ample off-street parking. Within a couple of driving miles to all the major Monterey attractions. Maps provided of the area, as well as many brochures for attractions and things to do.”

“This was my wedding day on a public beach in Pebble Beach, CA. After going to the downtown venues in Monterey, CA - which were conveniently close - everybody wanted to come to our hotel room. The police came and apologized that we never were asked to be quiet, stated they would not have a problem if we went to another local hotel - as we were not trouble makers but due to manager requesting we leave - we had to go. They directed us to another hotel (thank god the hotel kicking us out did not identify the 6 other rooms & they got to stay the night). The hotel up the street was larger, cleaner, cheaper & accommodating.”

“Wouldn't let my worst enemy stay there. We checked in, looked at the room and left. It was a cesspool. Any chance for a refund since we didn't stay there? Thanks for setting us up with a dump. I don't expect any response from you.”

“Very nice overall. Very clean and close to attractions. Free parking. Very friendly helpful staff. Limited continental breakfast included. Wireless internet available and breakfast are only 24hrs around clock. You do get fridge and microwave in room. Negatives: Im being picky but beds are small and walls are thin noisy. Overall decent value.”

“I will pay extra to stay in a decent hotel from now on. The rooms stunk of cigarettes even after confirming a non-smoking room, kids were running up and down our walkway, a drunk lady yelling at her friend. Had to park on the street. Just horrible.”

“This hotel is located just a few blocks from the ocean, that was the best part. The rooms are small, the bathroom is a stall, and I listened to the people to the right of me talk all night and the people to the left snore, it felt like we were all in the same room. Not a relaxing stay.”

“If you need someplace to stay that is cheap and close to activities but don't care if you get any sleep and don't care if you have a place to park when you get back then stay here. Coffee and blow dryer in the room is a convenience. The bed was large with a lot of pillows and was okay.”

“I would go again. The staff was friendly and checks in/check out was very quick. The breakfast was nothing special, but it satisfied hunger. Our room was large, with plenty of extra seating. There was also a microwave, mini fridge, in addition to iron, coffee maker and blow dryer. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.”
