• Very clean. Comfortable beds.
• There really was nothing.

“Great hotel. Truly a warm pool which was nice. It is a walk to downtown, but not bad. Shopping area across the street. You do have to drive to the Aquarium.”

• We were able to park less than 10 feet from our down-stairs room.
• Many people were able to park right outside our room door.

“Of our 7-day Northern California vacation, where we traveled from Oakland, San Jose, San Simeon, Monterey, etc., this actually ended up being one of the pricier hotels that we stayed at, but not the best or nicest. The greatest part of this hotel was it's location. A short morning stroll (about 2 blocks) had me walking along the wharf, and window shopping at the many shops, and smelling the wonderful smells. The room itself was clean, but not great. Not bad, but not great. The continental breakfast was small. Enough to fill a grumbling stomach, but overall pretty small. Overall, the stay was adequate. I would've been happier paying 25-35% less for this room, as although it suited our needs, I don't think the price was quite justified.”

• The appearance - inside & out.
• The loud water pipes & hard bed.

“It's an excellent place to stay for the price. The location was great! (Close to Laguna Seca & Cannery Row). The room was very cozy for the two us. When you flush the toilet, the pipes make a lot of racket. We weren't in the room long enough for that to really bother us. We would stay here again; maybe with ear plugs next time.”

• The flowers and the price.
• The room could have been updated along with the bathroom.

• Major health hazards.

“I get a sick feeling to my stomach when I think about the room Marie and I stayed in. The front attendant did not seem surprised when I made a complaint so it may be an ongoing reoccurrence. Its possible and on your side would insure the owner take action and compensation in these matters. All of our rooms stank. I felt that we got off light in that, only our bathroom stank. Our friend's rooms smelled so strongly of chemicals that it felt like I was on CSI and had just walked into a freshly cleaned crime scene. But not too freshly cleaned as my friends were forced to stare at a clump of hair mashed into a towel for quite awhile. But even if the rooms were clean and didn't smell like the aftermath of a multip
