“The rooms are a bit on the small side but we had an excellent stay. We requested the top floor away from the freeway. The staff was courteous and friendly. The pool had towels by it's side in case you forgot yours at your room. They even had heaters by the pool.
The restaurant closed because of a party but they still offered room service. Unfortunately, they allow smoking on the pool deck and there were about 10 people smoking cigars.”

“The rooms on the highway side are very noisy. I knew I was in trouble when I found that earplugs were provided in the room by the hotel. Why was I assigned such a noisy room when the hotel was not very fully occupied? Sleep was next to impossible before an important business meeting. Ask for a room on the mall side when reserving and/or checking in to this hotel. Checkout system slow.”

“Very nice hotel in good location. Quieter than others I have stayed near the same area. Bathrooms have lots of counter space and are very clean.”

“The Pleasanton Sheraton is comfortable and clean. The building structure is older and the walls are thin-- you can hear conversations clearly from the next room.”

“Overall, our experience was very good. Cleanliness and comfort is most important to us and both exceeded expectations. The biggest disappointment was being placed next the freeway. The hotel was booked and we could not be moved and it was loud all night. Slept pretty well considering the noise. Would not stay here again if the room was adjacent to freeway again.”

“Great place. Pool and food services area was very user friendly and laid out well. A great retreat from the busy Bay Area just down the hill.”

“I would stay at this hotel again, and would recommend it to others; however, I would insist that my room be one of the facility's historical non-smoking rooms. The room that I was assigned apparently had been "converted" to a non-smoking room about a month or so earlier, so a stale smoke odor was evident. A room that I'd been assigned 3 weeks earlier was very fresh, because it had always been a non-smoking room.”

“This is a hotel that provides quality for your money. It also allows dogs, and while I was not traveling with a pet, I appreciate that convenience in a nice, clean, safe hotel.”

“Very nice hotel rooms in perfect location- steps away from upscale shopping center and two minutes to 1-580. Very close to Dublin shopping.”

“Your directions on my reservation were entirely wrong. Took me 30 extra minutes to find it. Hotel was adequate for a business trip. I wouldn't want it for pleasure. It's tired and run down. They need to upgrade their bedding.”

“This hotel is clearly having management problems. There's a strong sense of disarray and chaos when I first checked in. Reservation information was erroneous. This consequently wasted a lot of our time and energy, especially after a whole day of travel. Information shown on Wyndham's website such as "free high-speed internet" was deceptive. The internet service was only available IF the guests agree to devote their personal information to the hotel through a form of "membership" program called By Request. If you count on using the internet service at the hotel, don't count on getting any where because the connection is very unreliable. Furthermore, every thing you do on the internet will be "watched" by the provider. So if you have something of confidential and personal, don't risk it with Wayport, Wyndham's service provider.
Also, the hotel seems to cater only to Spanish-speaking guests. English seems to be the "foreign language" at this hotel.”

“If you frame your mind with Motel 6 when you stay at this hotel, you'll probably be OK. If you expect any thing better, then you may be walking away disappointed. The room I checked wasn't ready and when it became ready, it wasn't quite clean. The website advertised "free highspeed internet", but it's not exactly true. The catch is the guest must sign up for a program called "ByRequest" in order to get this so called "free interenet". But this program must be signed up PRIOR TO check-in! So if you expected a "free interenet" after you have already checked in, you'd get "sorry, sir... we cannot offer you the free service... but you can get access to the internet for only $9.95...." or "...we never said the interenet was free... we only claimed the internet access was available...". Actually, Wyndham's official website did say "free highspeed internet". If you get through the hurdles of getting a connection, expect continous problems during your session: intermittent disconnection and error pages that suggests you to call a toll-free number, which would route you to the reservation center in Dallas, Texas, where the representatives are cluless on what to do about the internet service. The internet service is actually contracted out to a lousy company called WayPort, which point their fingers at Wyndham Hotel for any trouble with the internet service. So between the clueless frontdesk, the braindead reservation center, and the faceless WayPort, the guest get a free dose of frustration. In short, if you count on a reliable and free highspeed internet connection for your important work, consider elsewhere.
So, what's good about this hotel? Well, a small (very small) number of nice service staff. Rate is slightly lower than the nearest hotel (Hilton, which offers no-hassel, no-pain, really-free highspeed internet). If shopping is important to you, this hotel is across the street from a major mall. ”
