  • Hotel was nestled in Pacific Grove.
  • It could go for some modern designing upgrades (sheets, pictures, accessories).

“This was a great studio we asked and get the king size bed which gave me the best nights sleep in a while. It had its own kitchen, sitting area and back patio. Parking was tight but you were able to use the carport/garages at no extra charge. It could have gone for some modern decor but no big deal. Great for the family or romantic enough for a couple. I definitely recommend this hotel!”

  • Excellent location. Great room. Clean and plenty of room for our family.
  • Bathrooms could be a little updated.

“Great value. It looks like this hotel used to be a condo complex that was converted. Interesting layout of rooms with the smaller bedroom hosting the kitchenette, but it would perfectly for our family of 5. Fantastic location close to the Asilomar and away from the noise of Monterey, but not too far. Breakfast was good. Make your own waffles, cereal and pastries.”

  • Comfy bed, cozy cabin like feel.
  • The carpets were wet from a recent cleaning.

“My husband and I enjoyed this room, it was a king suite. It was comfortable and cabin like. Nestled in the trees. I was hoping for a ocean view but it was nice in the trees too. The only thing missing was a hot tub spa that would be perfect on the large private balcony. The fireplace was nice, the bed was comfy. My only complaints were the very low flow shower and the carpets were very recently shampooed. The carpet was still wet. But at least it was clean and we didn't complain. We would stay here again.”

  • I really liked the location of this hotel, it was very close to the beach and was not in a "hotel row".
  • See my review.

“I really liked the location of this hotel. It was very clean and some of the staff was very nice, others were not interested in taking care of their customers. At first, this might not seem to be a big deal but the pictures you see on the site are not the room¿s you get. If you look at the hotels site there is no mention at all of these rooms, the site only mentions rooms with king size beds and the room it shows with the full kitchen is twice the size of these rooms. In fact, all of the other rooms in this motel are twice the size of these rooms. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. They are also kind of like the step child rooms of the hotel, they are the only rooms facing the street, by this I mean you have to drive out of the hotel parking lot and they are on the backside of the other rooms. This is good to the extent of not seeing the other guests but when you go to get your breakfast you feel like you are sneaking in from the outside of the hotel. This room also had very limited dishes and baking dishes for having a full kitchen. There was only one coffee cup and when I went to ask for another one, I was given Styrofoam, which I will not use. I did get another cup from the breakfast room but every time the house cleaner service came in, they took it. The problem with the handicapped room itself was the parking spaces were marked handicapped so I was just waiting to get ticketed, the sink was @ handicapped level so if you needed to wash your dishes which most of the time u did since there was only 2 plates and 2 salad forks and 2 soup spoons, which I had another problem with no full size silverware. The last thing I have to say is what if a handicapped person did need this room. I do not use handicapped stalls in restrooms incase they are needed by the persons they were designed 4.”

  • The rooms were very small, and the table and chairs were kids size.

“My husband and I were very excited about going out to Monterey for one of good friends birthday. We had not ever been out here together, for my husband it was his first time to many places there. We were going to possibly share the room. We managed to encourage one of other closest friend to come along. When we arrived and got into the room. It looked nothing like what we had saw online. Which was much to my disappointment. I've stayed in some pretty bad hotels in the past such as, in when we got married a year ago. The location was good we were very close to our family in the area. The front desk clerks were very nice, and helpful. The rooms were very small. In fact, the table and chairs we had in the rooms were kid size. none of us, but me could sit in them. The rooms were dark. I do think brighter colors in the room would help. When we had gone to bed, it was pretty late, and our pillows were so flat. I had used my jacket for extra pillow. We were so tired and it was late, I didn't want to bother anyone. We are not the type of people to complain. But I just thought you might want to know. ”

“The hotel is difficult to find but in a beautiful location in Pacific Grove several blocks from the beach. The staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable and accommodated a three-generation 3-person family group nicely.”
