  • Very helpful front desk staff.
  • Very rude breakfast manager. That lady needs to retire.

“The hotel has an excellent lobby that raises your expectations of the room. But won't live up to the expectation set by lobby. The reservation staff and floor managers were very friendly and helpful, full points to them. The breakfast cafe lady was very rude to everyone dining on the free breakfast. The first day she gave us juice when we said no, but never gave water after repeated request. She simply walked away while we were still talking to her. I wont go there, if that lady is still there.”

“The pool was bombarded with many children and all their parents drinking heavily for two days in a row! The room was very small, we were barely able to close the bathroom door! There was never any towels in the pool premises, so I had to wait for them for long periods. Everything in the room was outdated. Would not want to stay there again.”

  • Via phone I was told there were two queen size beds in each room. In fact there was only one with a sofa-bed.

“Disappointed about having a sofa-bed instead of a real bed as I was led to believe there were two queen size beds. Other than that everything was fine.”

  • Very clean and comfortable bed.
  • No area to walk or shop nearby.

“We were very pleased with all aspects of the Biltmore. We received a friendly efficient welcome even though we arrived two hours before check-in. Our room was well laid out, and we appreciated the free internet access. Dinner in their restaurant was delicious and moderately priced. I would love to return to that hotel again!”

  • Convenient to my contract job.
  • Small cramped rooms.

“Convenient to Silicon Valley, Great America and freeways. Very nice lobby but then most rooms are in the out buildings which are more like a motel. Small rooms, ok service. More like a 2 or 2.5 star than a tree star.”

  • Very dirty, poor service and location.

“This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in for a 3-star rating. This rating is extremely deceptive. The hotel was filthy, and the room was dirty. They don't even have an elevator--so I had to carry my luggage to an upstairs floor. There was even dirty soap left in the bathroom. This hotel's rating should be reconsidered!”

“Main tower seemed attractive, but the wing where I stayed was like a Motel 6, dark, very noisy, gritty. Rooms were very standard but clean.”

  • Only an outside entrance to rooms, no hallway.

“The Biltmore was a very nice hotel. The lobby and other common areas seemed to be 4-Star. The rooms were in separate buildings and were more 2.5-star. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, maid service was excellent, but the room was very small.”

  • Room was clean and comfortable.
  • The hotel clerk placed me in a room that was on the ground floor, just yards away from the motorway and just feet away from a gas station.

“This hotel will do in a pinch, but it wouldn't be my first choice. The parking lot was just outside my door - making for a noisy experience. It didn't feel safe. The hotel was not at all full and yet she seemed to give me an inferior room. I struggled with my luggage while the two clerks sat and chatted at the front desk. The next morning I called guest services to ask for assistance with my luggage, but the clerk sounded very reluctant and then nobody ever did show up. On the plus side, the food from room service was excellent as was the catering staff. They were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. A final note: three or four letters on the Biltmore signage out front weren't lit up. This was true for all sides of the building. It didn't appear that anyone was tending to basic maintenance on something as important as this! It doesn't make a good first impression.”

  • Unsafe access from san Tomas Expressway.

“Aspires to be better than it is. Hangers cannot be removed from horizontal bar. One bulb over sink missing. One must walk up steps to second level because there is no elevator. Newspaper, promised for every day, was not delivered on sat. Morning. Hot water, however, was hotter than I have ever experienced at a hotel (lawsuits anyone?). Getting into the hotel from san Thomas Expressway and getting out of the hotel to go on the san Thomas Expressway is downright dangerous when traffic is heavy. If I had the choice, I would not stay at this hotel again.”

  • Prior guest tried to access room; front desk called twice asking if I saw item belonging to prior guest but never said what was missing.
