• Easy access in and out of hotel.
• Definitely not a four star rating!

• Nice lobby with a warm inviting fireplace and a pool table upstairs for a casual activity.
• It is located on a busy street so your view is the parking lot.

“Very service oriented hotel. We were not asked whether we wanted a room with 2 queen beds so we were not pleased when entered our room. We immediately called the front desk for a change - a room with a king bed. So the only rooms available with a king was for handicap guests. So we accepted and moved. The room was okay but we could hear the pool table. The registration experience set the tone for our stay. We did not feel the hotel deserve the service oriented reputation. The front desk person lack sensitivity and I would inform the hotel management of our experience if they had provided comment cards in the room.”

• The bed was comfortable.
• Very tiny TV, no microwave, breakfast buffet $10, AC was broken.

“This would be a great hotel for a business traveler. As I was traveling for leisure, and this was the last night of my vacation and wanted something near the airport for the next morning, it did not meet my expectations. The bedding was comfortable, but no microwave and very small tv that was not flat screen. There was a nice sofa in the guest room, but you couldn't see the TV from it because it's enclosed in a huge armorer. The air conditioning didn't work, and when someone came down to look at it, they just told us it didn't work and could use the fan, never offering us a different room. None of the staff could really speak English, so asking for anything was virtually impossible. Also, the breakfast buffet looked like something out of a 1-star hotel, and they wanted $10 per person unless you were a club member.”

• Great safe location for shopping at Valley Fair Mall.
• Bathroom could be updated and room service for breakfast would be a welcome addition.

“The Moorpark met our expectations for a 4 star hotel. It is in a perfect location for shopping at Valley Fair Mall. Very comfortable bed and large rooms. Bathrooms could be updated to match the elegance of the rest of the room decor. Very friendly front desk staff.”

• Nice room. Great linens.
• Breakfast buffet was a little week. Hard eggs, no meat.

“The rooms were great and although the common area is small, it is well appointed. Close to Santana row.”

• Too expensive.

“This hotel is very expensive and later they charged my credit card for something I didn't consume (2 beers and 1 bottle of water). I am still disputing this bill with them.”

• Spacious room, luxurious bed, and attractive décor.
• The 2 front desk staff were cold and rude, 1 was nice.

“Spacious room, luxurious bed, attractive decor, staff quality is mixed, great location, perks listed on website (free breakfast, etc.) are only given to premium guests, restaurant buffet breakfast was excellent and decently priced.”

• Courteous staff, very clean inside and out, loved the room and pool areas.
• Staff not familiar with other eating establishments in area.

“Lovely Asian inspired decor, staff welcoming and friendly. The only negative for us, no help with baggage, we had to load and take our bags to our room on baggage cart, then return cart to lobby. Other than that, hotel was great.”

• New, clean, convenient and
  comfortable.

“The Moorpark is a new hotel on the 280 corridor. It is clean and comfortable, and feels like a small hotel rather than a huge conference center. Business travelers will enjoy the convenient location on 280 with excellent access to Cupertino, Santa Clara, and San Jose; families will appreciate the generously sized rooms with snack bar and refrigerator. The Moorpark is near dining, groceries, gasoline, and ice cream; you will need a car for anything else. Great shopping at Santana Row and Valley Fair is only 10 minutes away.”

• Clean and quite hotel.
• Computer in business centre not working.

“A good hotel for the business user except the business centre was not working at the start of my stay and 11 days later it was still not working. At the weekends watch out for the American families.”

• I liked that it was small and quaint and well decorated and free breakfast.
• Only thing was for them to have a clock in the room larger one.

• In-room amenities and conveniences, a step above the average.
• Bed a bit soft, coffee in the lobby would be nice.

“Spacious rooms with quality amenities. Enjoyed the sitting area in the room, as well as the nice towels and bedding. A perfect getaway near home, but also appropriate for business or family trips. Access to transportation/car is helpful.”

• Nice but it¿s a three star, it was a great value for the price we paid.
• One of the staff members could have been nicer. And the hotel wasn't like a nice Marriott.

• Steve in food service was very friendly.
• Reception man named KATZ.

“After an initial bad experience with KATZ at the front desk, it was ok . Sink in bathroom was very slow to drain , and there was a light bulb out in the bathroom How could housekeeping miss both these items on cleaning? Someone from the front was nice, as was Steve, the restaurant manager.”
