• Great staff, great location, elegant design.
• Nothing - this hotel was great!

“The hotel room was very nice. The grounds were clean, the staff friendly. The location was a 15 minute walk to downtown Walnut Creek and BART. I had no complaints. I travel all the time and this is one of my favorite affordable hotels on the West Coast!”

• The TV's are wide screens and lots of channels!
• Parking is terrible. Only onsite is $11 and off site is a block away under the freeway.

“Everything is more than a walk away. The other hotels on your service are much more useful.”

• I liked the high atrium with views from elevator area on each level.
• The large man who checked us in did not say one word.

“Straight forward business hotel. Over priced parking considering Walnut Creek is suburban. Employees do not represent the brand very well.”

• The entrance.
• No working internet, switched us rooms at 2 am.

“This stay was totally not like my previous experiences, we arrived they checked us in then at 2 am they moved us to another room so we went from double smoking room! Also we had the room for two nights, but after the first night they locked us out of our room because they showed no extra night, because we didn't have to stay we decided to leave, so while we were packing all of a sudden there was an earthquake, and the hotel didn't even have anyone to check if anyone was ok, no calls no room checks. So we left. It was a horrible stay.”

• Great location! We often search for the Concord/Walnut Creek area and this is the first time we actually stayed in Walnut Creek.
• Fee for parking. The location is combined in with Concord and it shouldn't be.

“Excellent location, clean, everything you would expect from a Marriott. The one downside is that there is a fee to park.”

• Nice room. Flat screen TV, comfortable bed and clean updated bathroom.
• Valet parking was expensive. Free parking was offered, but the parking lot was quite a distance from the hotel.

“Checked in during the busy Labor Day holiday. Although there were many guests (and even the Michigan State football team) that weekend, check in was still quick and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was nicely decorated, clean and had a view of the pool. Hotel restaurant's breakfast was good and service was decent. Valet parking was a bit high. The hotel does offer free self parking, but that lot was a bit of a walk from the hotel. Me and my partner had a vehicle so getting to downtown walnut creek was only a short drive. Seemed too far to walk. I'd recommend a taxi if you don't have a vehicle. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and will definitely be returning to the Marriott. Great rooms, friendly staff and good price.”

• It was a nice hotel, but not spectacular.
• No on site parking unless of course you are handicapped.

“I've already said it. I think it is appalling that a so-call top of the line hotel does not provide on site parking for a guest.”

• Beautiful entryway.
• Parking.

“Very nice place, beautiful lobby and entryway, parking is an issue having to walk at night from a remote lot. Shouldn't have to pay for parking either.”

• Decoration, cleanliness.
• Hot tub has mildew, not bee cleaned for a long time. Broken tiles and concrete.

“Everything is great, except the pool area. The hot tub need refurbished. The mildew pores are dangerous for health. This is the only area the hotel needs to fix.”

• Friendly, attentive staff, great breakfast buffet- kids eats free, comfy beds.
• Parking situation needs improvement, Shower leaked on bathroom floor.

“Easy freeway access, very comfortable rooms, Breakfast buffet is second to none. Parking is either very expensive valet parking ($16), or inconvenient self parking a 5 minute walk away- you still have to pay $10 a night for this.”
