  • Friendly acomadating staff.
  • Badly in need of updating bedrooms.

“This motel is good for a quick stay if you are passing through the area. It meets the basic needs of a motel. The good thing about it is that they have a full breakfast in the morning.”

  • Spa Tub
  • Difficult to get additional towels

“Good - I went for the Spa Tub. Staff was a little abrasive - had some issues getting additional towels. Comp. breakfast was ok, but nothing sensational.”

  • Room service policy, and aggressive reminders (felt like I was doing something wrong for requesting no room service on 3 days/seven!)

“It's an expensive area. This is not a 2* hotel, it's a 1* motel. Not customer-focused. Room service is required at least once every other day, according to policy printed at front desk. Each time (twice) that I requested no room service, I was asked very aggressively, even with hostility, whether I'd had room service the previous day. I had, but felt as if I was doing something wrong for asking. Maybe they are like this because have people using the place for illegal activities; if so, that's hardly reassuring. The second time I asked, I was told that one is only allowed to decline room service twice per week, even though the policy states once every other day. I didn't want to debate it and simply said this is why I wasn't extending my stay; the response was "Well, we don't own the hotel, we're only employees." Maybe it's a general response, because I wasn't even heated up about it.”

  • The staff was accommodating.
  • Beds were not comfortable.

“For the price - very good value.
I liked the staff. Free nachos and popcorn all day.”

  • The hotel was more than we expected for the price.
  • We enjoyed our short stay.

“The cost of the room was very inexpensive and was more than we expected. Very comfortable and clean. The jacuzzi tub was a very nice extra.”

  • The bath tubs.
  • Rooms are dark.

“For the price and convenience it works well.”

  • None.
  • Room and hallway smells and across the street are the x-rated stores.

“I will not recommend any people to stay at this hotel.”

  • Carpet fairly new.
  • Very dingy.

“Obviously nothing like the 2 star hotels you refer to - Ramada, Holiday Inn, Best Western. It was truly awful. At breakfast, one lady shuffled in wearing a huge robe, flips flops and no shoes. She looked like she belonged there. Also, another unique touch - plastic flowers stuck in the ground beside plants to look like they were flowering. Very outdated. Really bad.”

  • Great location, quiet - very nice overall!
  • There's no desk, only a breakfast nook, with chairs far too uncomfortable for laptop work.

“It's a great place, overall - a 3-story extended-stay hotel sharing a parking lot with office buildings, so it's good for TDY travel. That having been said, it is guaranteed that every hotel in the world billed as business friendly was designed by someone who has no clue what business travelers actually do and this is no different. There is no desk! You put your laptop on a breakfast nook and sit on a high stool, designed by the Spanish Inquisition. I guarantee no genuine business traveler was a part of the room layout. Also, they get $4.99/night for wireless, when the prevailing rate for motels in this area is free. There is no continental breakfast, unlike virtually all other hotels in the area, but it's an extended-stay hotel, so that can be excused.”

  • Best bed I have slept on in a long time!
  • Rooms were very mature.

“Very nice people from check in to departure, while the rooms are old everything was available to make the trip easy!”

  • Free breakfast/dinner.
  • Room smelled/shower pretty cheesy.

“I've stayed here several times; the last time was in a room that was pretty cheaply appointed. The shower had no place to place your soap, the roof of the shower was either a painted wooden surface with black paint, or mildew -- either way it looked (I was not wearing corrective lenses in the shower) very cheesy. The room had an unpleasant odor when I arrived, the next day; apparently they undertook some major cleaning, with no prompting from me, as when I arrived in the evening the curtains were draped over a wall fixture as if the window and/or room had undergone some major cleaning. I don't know why the odor was not attended to prior to my taking possession of the room.”

  • Maid service and complimentary breakfast and dinner.
  • Location.

“The beds were very comfortable, the desk clerks were knowledgeable and helpful. Maid service was very good. In general not a bad place at all to stay, except that it is across the street from adult book stores and adult videos stores and bars. It is next door to a bowling alley and not in the nicest area of town. It is not as easily accessible to the interstate highway as I would have liked, though it appears on the maps that it is.”

  • Good free breakfast. The dinner was mediocre at best but it was free.
  • The rooms were a bit outdated and need to be remodeled.

“This is an older hotel but for the price it's worth while. They have a great complimentary breakfast with eggs, sausage, ham, toast and some fruit. I was only there for one dinner and it was pasta shells with ricotta and I'm not big on those but it was free so I'm not complaining. The rooms could be remodeled but for the price I thought it was worth while.”

  • Location.

“A very old and run down hotel. No heating available in my room. Cigarette burns on all of the furniture and floor. Stains on the floor and walls.”

  • The Office personnel (night staff) was extremely courteous and helpful.
  • The boom boxes from the adjoining bowling parking lot.

“After reading some of the previous reviews, I have found that the hotel meets all of my expectations for a hotel in that price range. I feel that if I would want a hotel with new furniture and other amenities I would select Hilton and other hotels in that price range. Also the excellent tasting, warm breakfast, was another plus. Recommend for cleanliness, comfort and friendliness.”

  • Good location.
  • Carpet in public spaces was filthy.

“Once we got past the disgusting hallway carpet, the room was quite nice. The staff and service was very good. This hotel is unusual in that breakfast and dinner were included in the price of the room.”

  • Thin walls led to having to listen to couple in the next room.

“I was very pleased with the overall experience at The Pacific Inn of Redwood city. Upon arrival the desk clerk upgraded to a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds. We did not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast or Dinner so I can not comment on that. The room had all the amenities (microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, iron, alarm clock, Jacuzzi tub and the shower had great water pressure). It was smaller than most rooms and the walls were thin enough to hear the "activities" of the couple in the next room. A little awkward as I was traveling with my son. In the morning the desk clerk gave me a great map of the area and directions to the freeway. I would stay again if I could be assured of a room in the same area of the hotel. Rear building non-smoking.”

  • Very clean hotel. A lot of parking.
  • Maid service was very poor.

“The hotel was great. Good location. Clean rooms. The only problem we had was with the maid service. They did not speak any English so even after telling them and putting do not disturb sign on door they still came into the room and cleaned.”
