“I had a business meeting in a near by winery and thought that this place would be nice to stay in. I was very outdated, lots of 70's fixtures and the rooms are over priced for the decor. No High speed connections. ”

“Very nice place to stay except that it was not very soundproof and we were disturbed by other guests. Beautiful grounds and facilities. We went with another couple and I expected that they would be close to us, but they were on the other side of a huge facility, which was disappointing. We made reservations together. The setting was spectacular.”

“It's ok for the price, but a bit far from everything in Napa -- unless you are there for the golf course.”

“The hotel was adequate, nothing special (we don't golf). I felt it was overpriced (its regular rates) but the grounds were lovely and the location convenient.”

“The spa was good. location great. staff terrible. We got bad rooms, they were doing construction in the condo above ours the first two nights. No free internet access. ”

“This is a beautiful resort but sort of hard to find. My room was way in the back. I had to drag my bags a distance even though it looked like there were closer rooms available.”

“This is a place with aspirations. Lovely grounds but overcrowded, uncomfortable rooms. Some of the furniture was stained and the place was just jammed. The bathroom had an excellent magnifying mirror and good toiletries. Would have stayed longer and had a meal but the front desk clerk was singularly unhelpful and unpleasant at check in which discouraged us from looking around.
The lady bartenders were helpful and pleasant and went out of their way to make sandwiches for our late arrival...they were also professional and gracious to a group of loud, somewhat belligerent men. Those women are real assets. With the many choices in wine country, this would not make our top ten.”

“Welcome to Caddy Shack. This is less of a hotel and more of condo/timeshare plan. The property is designed as a golf course with tennis courts, a swimming pool and free standing condo units. The addition of a Mr. Coffee machine, ironing board and iron in each room hardly make up for the indoor/outdoor carpet, polyester bedding and old plumbing and HVAC systems.”

“This hotel needs to be taken off 4 start rating. It is not a nice hotel by any means and in bad need of a total rennovation.”

“This is an aging facility (built in the 50's). Although the room was remodeled, I would not consider this a 4-star room or facility. I think you should advertise this as 3-star.”

“Beautiful place that I would definitely go to again, but I would make sure that the room I got did not have the heating unit over the bed.”

“Although the property was very nice, I was very disappointed with my stay at the Silverado. The room was tiny... nothing like the descriptions online. The staff was professional, but not friendly. They double charged me at check-out and I had to argue with them to reverse it. I felt like I was at a barely 3 star hotel when inside my room.”

“Homey feel, old style design, but not quite a luxury hotel in my opinion. I stayed at another 4 star hotel in Napa, and was much more impressed with everything from the interior decoration to the amenities such as complementary breakfast. None of these things were included. We also had difficulty getting hot water running at night. The room that we were assigned was also at the very back corner of the property, even though there were other vacant rooms closer to the main entrance. ”
