• The bed and the bathroom were very nice.
• Expensive parking.

“This was a great hotel. The bed is comfy and the bathroom is nice. The decor of the whole hotel and room is very nice. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location is very good right next to the highway and also right next to a large entertainment complex. Easy access to Oakland, Berkeley and San Francisco.”

• It was in a good, clean neighborhood and close to shopping areas.
• It was hard to get to the hotel from the freeway and there was a $9 charge per day for parking, there in the hotel parking lot.

“I enjoyed my stay and was quite impressed with the quality hotel for the price. I felt well taken care of at this hotel.”

• Great location, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
• Did not like the fact that we had to pay for parking. $9/day was not bad compared to the city though.

“Good hotel. Close to shopping and restaurants. Clean, well-kept common areas. Bathroom was very large, room was comfortable and modern. No complaints. Would stay there again.”

• Lack or local transportation, staff seemed preoccupied.

“This is a great hotel, centrally located between San Francisco and Oakland. A good place to stay if you want to be away from the hustle or the city.”

• Not much; asked for toilet paper role. Quickly respond.

• Front desk people very nice, accommodated request for bay view, up high.
• Sound proofing not good could hear conversations in hallway.

• They first put us in a room that wasn't ready. When we complained, they upgraded us to a suite.
• You have to pay for parking if you stay over 30 minutes.

“Convenient location, great views of bay and SF, very comfortable rooms, very tiny pool, uninspired lobby, have to pay for parking after 30 mins.”

• I had to pay $10.00 extra to park in their lot!

• The buffet brunch was one of the best I've found.
• The pool heater was off and we weren't warned of this.

• It was close to shopping and the beds were comfortable.
• Sometimes the freeway noise was a pain.

• Reservation desk wasn't very cooperative with bed preference over telephone.

• There was an additional charge for parking ($9.00). You should be able to park at no charge.

• I always stay at the Marriott when I am in Oakland visiting with my children and grandchildren.
• There was nothing that I did not like about this hotel.

“Marriott is my first choice whenever I go to Oakland. It is kept up well and never disappointing. The location is great, near restaurants and movie theaters. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It is a good value for what it costs.”

• Clean, Convenient, Centrally located.
• No room service Can hear folks in hallway.

“Hotel is wonderful. Centrally located, near shops freeway. Very clean internet access in room free of charge, very comfortable bed. There are also mages in room about surrounding area and a coupon book as well that comes in very handy. No room service, but that's ok as there are plenty of food places around. And there is a public bus line that travels to SF right across the street!”
