“Chateau Hotel was a bit of a disappointment. The place seemed very old and was in need of refurbishing. Also, seeing this was my first trip to Napa, I had envisioned the hotel being very close to wineries and their usual clean, green, natural environment. I wasn't expecting to be right next to a heavily traveled highway. Nor, did I expect railroad tracks to run along the front of the hotel. On the positive side, the hotel was less expensive than several I had researched and it was near the places I wished to visit. If you're looking to spend your money on area attractions and not on your hotel, the Chateau has its place.”

“Booked this Hotel for my girlfriend and me a two couples from out of town...only thing available was the Chateau...In hindsight we should have slept in the car!! This is not a hotel but a glorified motel. The rooms were dated and dirty. Walls were thin and you could clearly hear the people in the next room. The worst part of the trip was when I realized about 15 minutes after checking out that I had forgot my watch on top of the TV. I called and told the front desk that I was turning around to get my watch. When I arrived my watch was gone even though the room had not been cleaned yet! This place is shady and a total waste of money. ”

“Good hotel for weekend travelers. The Mexican restaurant across the parking lot was a relief after a long drive, with good food, great margaritas and helpful staff who knew the area for pointing out places to see on our trip. The hotel staff was very helpful in guiding us to good tourist stops and also made some of our reservations for us.”

“While visiting Napa with girlfriends, four of us reserved a "suite" to stay one night. The room had a king bed and a pull out sofa. The sofa was so awful that it allowed you to roll into the center all night. The bathroom had mold growing on the tile, the kitchenette sink was smelly, and when we informed the manager of the terrible bed, he informed us that it wasn't for sleeping on. (Keep in mind we paid extra for each person who stayed in the room.) He refused to discount the room and said that no one had ever complained about the sofa bed before. (It was so awful that the floor was more comfortable.) We paid $300 for one night and it was what you would expect from a hotel where you paid $30. This is an "avoid at all cost" hotel.”
