  • Clean rooms.
  • No newspaper available even in lobby, poor location.

“The shuttle was unreliable, and booked. The location was not near where I had chosen. This was a cheesy roadside inn and not a 3 star accommodation.”

  • location is convenient if you drive - just a minute away from exit of HWY-I5. Location is convenient if you drive - just a minute away from exit of HWY-I5.
  • The hotel room door is on balcony, just like motel - feel not very safe about this.

“It's a very simple neat hotel. Though it's a bit like motel-style construction, it provides almost everything I need for travel - free parking, free Internet, free breakfast, small gym, mini refrigerator in room.”

  • Friendly and helpful desk personel when checking in.
  • Evening desk clerk was rude-we interupted his phone conversation.

“Clean room, easy check-in; front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was okay. Evening desk clerk seemed bothered that we interrupted his personal phone conversation to ask where we should park as there was nothing available on their property. His rolling his eyes was not appreciated when we were tired and frustrated after dealing with traffic congestion.”

  • They provided a full warm breakfast and the staff was helpful.

“I would not want to stay here again but it was
OK for one time.”

  • The price.
  • Filthy air vent in bathroom.

“Old hotel, remodeled but tired.”

  • Nothing.
  • Would never stay there again.

“The decor of the hotel would win the ugly sofa contest. The room was so badly furnished, you did not feel good in it.”

  • Location was very convenient, staff was friendly.
  • Small bathrooms, bedspread had a hole in it, old furniture and beds.

“Construction was being done on the front end. Facilities are older. Room furniture is older, used. Small refrigerator was loud. Sink space for bathroom was small. Internet service was good. Breakfast was very adequate. Coffee and fruit in lobby was good. Shuttle service to the downtown area was a plus.”

  • It was completely worth the price!
  • The parking during an event they were holding.

“I enjoyed this hotel a lot! The room had all necessities with out the cheesy things most hotels usually add. It was modern, comfortable, and convenient. Slept well, as did my 2 year old daughter.”

  • Conveniently located, good beds, nice reno.
  • Outdoor hallways and elevator.

“Nice for the price point, their website reflects the next rating up but it is not quite there. Overall met our expectations for a girls shopping weekend.”

  • The bathroom was very clean and a good continental breakfast.
  • The furniture in the room had some stains.

“The hotel was reasonably priced and provided a free shuttle service. The room was nice and had some nice decorations. The furniture had a few stains, but other then that the room was really clean especially the bathroom! The staff was very friendly and helpful.”

  • The room was fine.
  • North gate is different from the U district-where
    I wanted to stay.

“I
would not give this a 3 star, and
I would not put north gate in the grouping of hotels near the university-it was way out and not convenient.”

  • The hotel sits in a perfect location not too far away from the university of Wasington.
  • The close proximity to the freeway creates quite a bit of noise.

“The hotel is an excellent option for those people looking to stay one night and not spend too much time hanging out in their rooms. The hotel lobby is adequate and the rooms are small, clean and comforatable. The only complaint I had is the high volume of noise not only outside from the traffic but also the amount of noise between the other rooms. For a two and half star hotel this is a quality option.”

  • The bed was comfortable, the parking was full, but the staff found us a parking spot.

“We find that almost all of the Seattle area has a major problem with parking space. This hotel was better than some and
ok, compared to others in the 2 star catagory. We only sleep and shower so it was great.”

  • Poor service, noisy location, unclean rooms.

“I was treated very rudely. The rooms were dirty, it smelled of smoke and we only had one towel and wash cloth, when I requested more I was told laundry was being done. I never did receive more linens. It was very close to the freeway and you can hear the traffic and very thin walls. I would not stay there again.”

  • It was really close to the freeway and easy to find.
  • The night staff was unbelievably rude and unhelpful.

“The room was fine, except there's no fan in the bathroom. The hotel is a motel so the sound is awful. We could hear other patrons upstairs and when housecleaning would roll their carts next to the room it was loud enough to wake us up. The night staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. The continental breakfast was fine but it was set up in a tiny room and the line was directed out the door and down the hall.”

  • The upgrades were nice looking.
  • I did not like the parking situation and outdoor entrances. I did not feel safe.

“This hotel used to be a Ramada Inn and is still a Ramada Inn with new furnishings and paint. The staff member I dealt with when I arrived was very unprofessional and I knew I was going to have a disappointing stay right at that point.”

“This hotel is actually a motel. It is not a 2.5 star hotel. Well, it is either a higher end 2 star or a very low end 2.5 star. The breakfast itself is okay and obviously a nice amenity. Upon checking in I was not greeted, had to wait for the staff to finish their conversation before I was served and I was the only one in line. I was not told anything about the hotel, breakfast, pool location etc. by the staff. I had to ask about each item. The hotel was not recently remodeled as suggested it is rundown and old. It is located right beside the interstate which is nice for travel but ridiculous for noise. It is a motel as all rooms enter from the outside. The pool was not cleaned the 3 days and 2 nights we were there. Leaves, bugs and what not in the pool. Their business centre is in the lobby and upon looking at it there was a sign posted on the printer stating that it was presently out of toner and could not be used. That sign was there the entire time. The cleaning staff was the only bright spots - they were friendly and did a great job of cleaning the room. Overall It was a hotel and I am thankful for a room to stay in.”

  • Nice room decor with fridge, microwave, TV, ironing board, etc.
  • Some noise coming from traffic & people rolling suitcases on the exterior hallway.

“Sure the place has a bit of a motel feel to it, but overall I've been really happy with my stay. The room was clean and modern, with a microwave, fridge, ironing board, TV with a good number of channels, free wireless internet (there's also a jack in the room which I used because it was more reliable). The breakfast was among the best breakfasts I've seen included with the price of a room, with the make-your-own waffles (they even had strawberries to put on them), and different kinds of eggs, bacon, and other hot items served throughout my stay there. There was some inconvenience due to the fact that there is quite a bit of traffic around the hotel, so you can sometimes hear sirens, etc in the morning. You can also hear people walking on the gallery and rolling their suitcases right outside your door. My room smelt a bit stuffy at first, but eventually the smell went away. The shuttle service is pretty good - the drivers will even sometimes drop you off in spots that you request yourself. It might still take a while to make it where you want to go though, like almost 1 hour sometimes, depending on traffic, etc. Overall I've been pretty satisfied with my stay there, and I'd recommend the hotel to other people, especially if things like free (and good) breakfast as well as free internet are important to you more than proximity to downtown.”

  • The hotel was nice, the room was nice, and the staff was nice. It was not the Westin. But the free buffet was great.
  • My room was on the side of the street and it was noisy.

“First, I would go back to this hotel. It was geared to family or business travel for short stays. No frills or exotic foyers, but friendly and pleasant.”
