“The room was more that comfortable. The furnishings-TV was very nice. The cost of internet was ridiculous for a business hotel. There was no Jacuzzi for relaxation. They put a courtesy bag of lavender/earplugs/eye mask in the room but charged for the relaxation tape. They provided the CD player. The room closed up dark when the curtains were pulled. Lovely sleeping on comfortable bed.”

“This hotel seemed like a place that was very crisp and nice 10 years ago, but has been allowed to get a bit ragged around the edges. Weird little details that don't really matter, but do effect the feel of the place. The once highly polished elevator doors were scuffed heavily from years of use. The wallpaper in the room had some noticeable bubbling in a couple corners of the room and there was some staining on the ceiling from water damage. Even the coffee mugs in the room were very well worn. Generally our stay was a good. I don't mean to overstate the negatives because, the hotel was nice and clean, just oddly worn. On a slight aside, the biggest peeve for me was the way they handle parking. It's Valet only and the attendant's English was a bit rough. I asked how much overnight parking would be and he indicated that it was covered by our stay in the hotel. The next morning our checkout statement included a nice little 35 dollar charge for parking. I later discovered signage that stated this tucked around a corner by the Valet station in a way that someone dropping off a car would not have seen. When my wife and I visited Seattle last year we stayed at a 2 star and there was no charge for parking. I didn't expect that here but it threw me to have such a high fee snuck in when I'm staying in the hotel. The good news is the hotel was a reasonable walking distance from a lot of what Seattle has to offer and we greatly enjoyed our stay in the city. In closing, some hotels do the little things to bring the quality of your stay up a couple notches. This facility seemed to do the opposite.”

“I liked the hotel and staff but the cost of valet parking, nothing else available, was more than half of the price of the room!”

“This was my 2nd stay at the Crowne Plaza and I would definitely stay there again. Location is fantastic, rooms clean and comfy, and their sleep advantage program is unusual and pleasant. As a smoker, I really appreciate that they still maintain some smoking rooms. My only complaint is that the front desk staff seemed quite disinterested and even annoyed every time I interacted with them, and security was a bit lax. On my 1st night, a bunch of obnoxiously loud people came into the room next door at 4:30am, shouting and blasting music. I called downstairs 3 three times and spoke with someone who seemed annoyed at my complaints; security was sent up each time, but the noise started again right after they left. On the 4th call, I requested to speak with the manager, who apologized for the inconvenience and sent security up again. I saw the security guy in the hall, who just shrugged and said "hopefully they'll be quiet now". I would've preferred better treatment from the front desk, and think that after the third call, close to dawn, those idiots next door should've been tossed out. That unpleasant episode aside, I had a great stay, and all other staff I dealt with (bell staff, wait staff) was friendly and courteous; it would be nice if the front desk people would at least pretend to care.”

“They tried to get me a room that had someone else already checked into it. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 9:30 am with the 'do not disturb' sign on the handle! Then I asked for late check out and the front desk said, we already have you checked out sir. I was still in my room then?”

“Hotel was very nice. Freeway side is a little loud, but it really didn't bother us too much. $30 per night parking is high, but its normal for the area.”

“I would not recommend this as a 3 star hotel in Seattle. The rooms are older. My carpet was torn in the room, the mattress was old and the springs creaked when I turned over. I asked for and was told I was getting a non smoking room, but it smelled.”

“The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. It was right off the Freeway and within walking distance from where we were attending a seminar. I was not expecting the cost for valet parking. Overall we were happy with our stay.”

“I requested a room away from the highway on an upper floor. I was given a corner room on the 8th floor that faced both the highway and the street. The noise was very loud all night long. The ear plugs the hotel provided could not block out the noise. My request was ignored. Parking is also expensive. It's a nice hotel if you can get the upper floors.”
