“From the moment we arrived the hotel staff starting from the Bellman/Valet to the front desk staff, concierge service was excellent. We will return again it has a great location for shopping and shows, nicely decorated. Bed was very comfortable and room was cozy, little small but nice.”

“Staff were very friendly and the concerning was amazing helped us book for both nights at restaurants with little warning. Loved the wine reception each night at 5pm . Overall we would highly recommend this hotel.”

  • Pet friend, wine tasting, attentive staff.
  • Towels could have been a little plusher.

“This hotel, located a few blocks from the center of downtown, is a very nice hotel with attentive staff. They offer a wine tasting every evening between 5 and 6 that shouldn't be missed. They are pet friendly, although the nearest park for the dogs is about 2 blocks away, so that might be a slight deterrent for some people especially in the cold weather! They offer animal print robes in the rooms, nice touch and different than your usual white robe.”

  • The linens are nice.
  • It was old and small and too far away. Some staff was not friendly.

“This is a nice hotel in a decent location. Some of the staff was not friendly at all. The evening wine hour attracted us here, but we ended up only going the first night because we found it to be pretentious and unwelcoming. The man pouring the wine looked at us like we walked in off the street to enjoy free tasting and asked us our names when we asked for a glass. We had been walking by him through the lobby all day! The hotel is downtown and near all the major attractions, but it's at the top of the hill. The room was pretty small, as was the bathroom. The linens were fabulous though. The bed was awesome! The TV was absolutely terrible. It was old and small, and the layout of the room meant it was also far away. There was a DVD player in the room and we tried watching a movie we had brought along which had subtitles. It gave me a headache trying to read them because the TV was so small. I think a place like this should have flat screen TV's. We're a younger couple (both 27) and felt unwelcomed/out of place in this hotel.”

  • The bed was great! The location was great!
  • No coffee maker in the room, however, we did find that they had coffee available in the lobby when we left.

“Great location, great bed, nice room.”

  • I loved that they did wine tasting the night we were there with Washington wines.
  • The room was tiny and our view was of the wall of the building next door.

“Nice lobby, great complimentary wine tasting. Room was nice but small. Location was walking distance to many things.”

  • Loved the fireplace in the lobby.
  • Only one computer in business center.

“I thought the staff was friendly; the rooms were lovely with a couch and chair, suite like. Wine tasting with nice homemade pizza made it cozy especially with the fireplace going in the background. The location is on Fifth Ave in Seattle and is in the heart of great shopping and restaurants.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • Spotless rooms and décor.
  • Tiny room.

“Great location, close to most Downtown attractions. Friendly, professional staff. Apparently wonderful food (I never dined there) Parking a little difficult and expensive. Room was very well appointed and was spotless. However, it was also tiny and was surrounded by far taller buildings. The restaurant had a great menu, but I opted for smaller restaurants at the waterfront. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[9]

  • The restaurant was wonderful.
  • There is no swimming pool or gym.

“Quaint, older hotel in excellent Downtown Seattle location. Parking is an $30 per night. Rooms were small but fairly well appointed, the biggest disappointment aside from a tiny bathroom was that it did not come with an in room coffee maker which forces one to order a pot from room service each morning. The hotel does not have a pool or workout facility, but for a $10 pass you may use a gym down the street. It is pet friendly to smaller dogs. The staff was efficient but gracious. The restaurant however was wonderful.”

  • Bed.
  • Customer service.

“Poor Customer Service, Nowhere near a 4-Star hotel.1. Room not ready upon our arrival. 2. No coffee makers (unless you specifically ask and this is not posted anywhere in the room), no phonebooks. 3. Valet person was a young gentleman with an attitude. 4. Morning room-service breakfast came without butter or jam for our toast. Only positive was the hotel was situated in a good location and the room itself was clean, modern, and comfortable.”

  • The outstanding customer service we received. Concierge was very good. Very good.
  • Paying for parking.

“Fabulous romantic setting in the lobby complimented by the friendly atmosphere created by the wine tasting from 5-6. We met a wonderful couple from Spokane and another couple from Vancouver Canada sitting relaxing in the lobby in front of the fireplace, with a wonderful Walla Walla Merlot. Never have I ever experienced this type of setting and comfort at a hotel. Great Idea. I probably would have never met these people otherwise. And the decor in the rooms, although the rooms were very small they were very nicely decorated. It reminded me of a cruise ship, with far better decor.”

  • Nice decor and wine reception.
  • Room had only 1 bed; hotel would charge me extra for 2 beds.

“Excellent location Downtown, free 1 hour wine reception, warm, clean elegant decor. Parking overnight is $30 Valet or $12 across the street.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[5] • Location:[9]

  • Colors of the decor were very warm, good location.
  • Room was small, bathroom was tiny - couldn't stand inside with the door open.

“Small lobby and room felt a bit cramped. The wine tasting in the lobby was nice. Smelled a little smoking especially when the housekeeping staff was cleaning adjacent rooms. I suspect they were smoking in the rooms. Most of the staff was friendly. Decor was nice. Had a difficult time getting a taxi - no taxi stand.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • The location was excellent.
  • Motel 6 has better TVs. We were put by the fire escape which made the room very small.

“We were shoved back into a corner of the hotel by the staircase which shrunk the room considerably. Even though the hotel only offered King and Queen suites we ended up with a double bed and because of the room the TV was placed very far from the bed. The TV reception was horrible mostly black and white picture. We asked about the room and they said they were booked, which was a bold faced lie.”
