  • Location, friendly staff, evening reception (but missed it).
  • The beds were really uncomfortable and the $40.00 parking charge was too high.

“It was a smaller boutique style hotel, nice service and good location.”

  • Lovely art deco style.

“This hotel was an unexpected surprise in the middle of downtown Seattle. They upgraded our room to a suite, and everything was lovely.”

  • Unique, gave gifts, Aveda bath products.
  • Parking fee, no pool or hot tub.

“Nice hotel, very unique furnishings and amenities, great gifts for kids awaits in room, but no pool or jacuzzi. Honor bar prices were expensive.”

  • Great location for our tourist needs. Nice/helpful staff.
  • The striped pattern of the rooms wall paper. Not good for a migrain sufferer. No refridge or microwave.

“The staff was great. They went out of their way to find a special item for me. The goldfish were a pleasant surprise. The only thing that I disliked were the striped patterns on the hotel room walls.”

  • Very unique & innovative decor, friendly staff & terrific location.
  • No pool.

“Great location, very nicely decorated, great restaurant with reasonable prices. Free wine tasting happy hour in lobby was fun.”

  • Location, large comfortable rooms, wine tasting.
  • Parking fee of $40, by the time your done with taxes and tips for one night, it was $60! For parking!

“Nice friendly hotel, we didn't' take in too much. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, participated in the wine tasting and psychic event. The HAVOC in our room had an annoying chirping sound all night long, we could have said something but it was late and we didn't even want to think about changing rooms. Overall We liked it and would return.”

  • Excellent wine reception with fortune-teller!
  • Lack of pool, expensive parking, small bathtub!

“My husband and I are much more likely to stay in a fairly inexpensive chain hotel than an upscale boutique hotel such as the Hotel Monaco, but for the price we got the room, we definitely won out! The room was comfortable, very quiet (didn't hear anything, even street noise from the main road right below), and nicely decorated. The lobby is well decorated but still casual and comfortable. The wine reception hour was a lot of fun - we met with friends and really enjoyed our complimentary fortune readings. The fortune teller who was circulating among the crowd was very patient with one rather annoying member of our party who never stops talking, ever. And the concierge was very accommodating with my husband, who probably had more than his fair share of the wine (which was excellent, by the way).”

  • Professional and very friendly staff.

“I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and how alert they were to my inquiries about local establishments. The restaurant staff was evenly exceptional.”

  • Spacious rooms and bathrooms.
  • Doormen rarely opened doors and they were heavy.

“Very happy with hotel. Close walk to everything. Friendly staff. Clean.”

  • The lobby was done nicely and the color scheme overall was nice.
  • There was no hot tub, the card in the bathroom offered complimentary things that were not available . There was only 2 curling irons available.

“We looked forward to time away and the room was clean enough. The staff did an excellent job of cleaning. I found that for a 4 star it was lacking. The chair in the room was worn and there was not an air of luxury. I had stayed over night for a convention last month and we stayed at the Edgewater which we got on priceline for pretty much the same amount. It was far more luxurious. There was a fireplace in the room and a large luxury bathroom. I was happy with my stay because my husband and I got to be away from home but it had no luxury feeling we were in a basic room. I thought there was a hot tub but must have misread that we brought swim clothes that would have been nice to relax in. I guess it felt more like a business class type hotel. The doormen were friendly and helpful. We didn't use valet parking because it was too expensive for us so we parked and walked a block as we planned to walk around anyway.”

  • Excellent service, convenient location, clean, comfortable bed and
liked the pillows and duvet cover on bed. Coffee, tea & newspapers in lobby in morning.

“I would reommend this hotel for its convenient and safe location and its friendly, helpful, and informed staff. The rooms are clean and a nice size. The rooms have flat-screen TVs. Our room was quiet. The beds were comfortable and the pillows and duvets were comfortable. We liked the cheerful and rather funky room decor.”

  • Spacious, clean rooms, friendly & helpful staff. Great location, quiet in room for downtown Seattle.
  • Valet parking was
    very expensive.

“Great location with adjacent bar with outstanding happy hour prices serving good food. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable.”

  • Quirky pet friendly accommodating hotel in a great location with clean rooms, Aveda products.
  • Not a lot of available public space seating in lobby area.

“I thought the Hotel Monaco was great and would recommend it. The hotel provided Starbucks coffee in the lobby in the morning, as well as a nice tea assortment. Also had free wine available in the evening for an hour. The room was wonderful. Great shower. Very clean hotel.”

  • I liked the downtown location. It was close to many attractions.
  • I did not like that the only parking available was the $40 per night valet.

“The room was small and the king size bed was really uncomfortable. My husband and I tossed and turned all night. They did not have a room with double beds so my son slept on a roll-away that was brought to the room. Plus the bathroom did not have a bathroom fan. Not a great idea for such a small space.”

  • The wine tasting in the lobby at 5pm and the happy hour, Hor D'oeuvres in the restaurant!
  • Less funky than it's sister hotel Monaco in Portland! Expensive valet parking.

“This is a great chain. They are fun, unique and chic. They love dogs and have an uber friendly staff. During the wine tasting (not as good as the Portland one, but not bad), they had a fortune teller- unique and fun!”
