“Last time I stayed in Seattle, I was at the Sheraton, which was very nice. The Red Lion hotel pleasantly surprised me! It was clean and not dated. In fact, it looked like they had done some renovations. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The only negatives I can say are that the toilet didn't flush very well and did get, ahem, plugged at one point. Also, the parking is very expensive. It was $28 a day plus tax. Still, it is convenient to just park under the hotel. You can wander down to Pike place, Monorail over to the space needle, quickly cab to Downtown or Capitol Hill.”

“Except for the need for more staff at the front desk, this hotel is great for location. The rooms are nice and clean plus the bathroom is larger than what you'd usually find in a hotel.”

“This was the Sheraton in Downtown Seattle. The room was not ok. Not even a table to eat at! What a disappointment and this was part of a gift for my sons 21st birthday.”

“The hotel was located perfectly for our sightseeing needs. The staff were all helpful regarding directions. Our room was handicapped and lovely but the shower hose was to short if a person used the bench. Also the handicapped person had to have help with the controls for the water because they could not be reached from the bench. The toilet seat was not handicap heights. There were lots of bars for assistance. The view we had of the water was awesome. Paying for internet was a huge disappointment.”

“Exceeded my expectations. The double bed room I had was spacious with, I thought, extremely comfortable beds; the fitness room was great. I did not eat in but visited the restaurant and terrace. If it was nicer weather, I would have enjoyed the terrace. The hotel personnel were very cordial and helpful. Location was excellent. There were many cafes, shops, and of course pike market within short walking distances.”

“There was a big convention going on towards the weekend. The hotel was busy but looked like they were still taking good care of the customers coming in.”

“Great location, right near everything. Walking distance to pike's market, any shopping you could imagine and monorail to the Seattle center. Older design in the rooms, but nothing that some new bedding couldn't solve.”

“Can't beat the location, and the hotel was decent. The room was wonderfully large. It would have been nice to have a pool. The bathroom was spacious and the shower had good pressure. It's awful when the showers are weak, so I appreciated that. The front desk gentleman that checked us in was awesome!”

“I think overall this hotel exceeded my expectations. However, the parking was rather steep at 28.00 a day and spots were not always available. Their business center needs some help as well. I needed to print boarding passes and there were 3 computers with only one working properly. It took me 30 minutes to get boarding passes for my family. I would have been better off thinking ahead and doing it at the library just up the street, which is an engineering wonder of art from the outside.”

“Staff was very courteous and gave us a beautiful room that even had a small view of the water. The room decor was very attractive; they had pillow-top mattresses that were really comfortable, nice amenities in the bathroom as well. Next time I'm in Seattle, I would definitely like to stay there!”

“I was very satisfied with the hotel. The location was perfect for my needs. I was at a reasonable walk of many attractions and also near bus routes for other locations I wanted to visit. The staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed (basically, a place to sleep and shower). The only bad experience I had was when I wanted to print my airline boarding passes in the business services office (the room included wireless internet access, but I didn't have a laptop). Before I could use the computer, I had to enter my credit card information and was charged $5 for 15 minutes. I didn't mind the charge but I wasn't able to access the United Airlines website because of a memory problem with the computer. The hotel contracts with an outside company for this service but when I tried to call the customer support line, I was unable to reach anyone. To the hotel's credit, the staff was very apologetic and allowed me access to another computer, so I could print out my boarding pass at no additional charge. My credit card was charged the $5 by the outside company.”
