“Considering how expensive downtown Seattle can be, this is a good hotel if you don't care about the view or 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. We recently attended a nearby wedding, and spent most of our time with our 2 year old checking out the sights and attending wedding events. It was a perfectly good space to sleep, shower and keep our stuff while we enjoyed the town. So if you just need functional, this will do the trick.”

“Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were very nice and very clean. And even thought the parking was very tight it was still great to have that parking available. We (and are) would certainly stay there again.”

“Good location poor customer service. When we found minor problem in our room and contacted the front desk the agent was helpful but said there was nothing she could do and we had to accept it. In Room deck was full of butt that not been cleaned in a long time which was a problem for a no smoking room.”

“It's in a handy location. The room was fine and very clean but the public space is tacky and not clean. The hotel is obviously understaffed, so prompt service is iffy.”

“Receptionist was very helpful and very knowledgeable of the area. The hotel looks old from the outside but very nice in the inside. Highly recommended for the price.”

“Except for a noisy early morning group that came in (about 2:20 in the AM) the room was very satisfactory. The beds were particularly comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good for a moderately priced hotel.”

“This is a nice hotel, very friendly staff. Our room was very spacious and had a patio that we were able to enjoy. The downside was the parking. They do not offer enough parking spaces for every room in the hotel. The overflow parking was in pay lot next door. The hotel will reimburse for the cost of parking but only at the very end of your visit. So make sure you have a credit card or enough cash available to park for your visit.”

“The hotel was comfortable, clean and was priced right. The rooms were quite large and while not luxurious, had amenities such as a coffee maker in the room. We were able to walk or take buses in the ride-free zone to most of the tourist attractions in downtown Seattle.”

“Located in the center of new development this hotel is a good stay if you leave your room for most of the day. The hotel is old, really old. The elevators seem like death traps. There is one ice machine per two floors. You must go into the drafty and "not to code" stair well to access the ice maker. The rest of the hotel fits the two star rating. It has basic bedding and limited bath. There were no extra pillows in the room. If I required some more, I would have waited for the slow staff to bring them up. Overall the hotel served its purpose, a place to sleep.”

“La Quinta features very comfortable beds and free parking which we appreciated. The hotel is very conveniently located near Seattle Center. Local phone calls are free and staff are very helpful and accommodating. Having a Jacuzzi and an Internet room available to guests is a plus. The make your own waffles and fresh bananas and apples with the continental breakfast was a welcome treat.”

“This is a very nice, clean older hotel which has been remodeled & has friendly staff. We were up-graded to a nicer room w/frig. & microwave. Wireless Internet available in rooms. Comfortable bedding w/ thick towels & 2 sinks in bath. Has whirlpool spa & exercise room - no pool. Is 4 blocks from space needle, about 12 blocks from Pike Market.”

“The hotel staff and the construction workers were all very friendly. Their attitude made the mess of the hotel less noticeable The rooms were as clean as was possible considering that there was major remodeling going on, but the smell was noticeable even in the room. Had I known that there was so much work going on, even Saturday morning, I would have chosen another hotel. The cost of the room was higher than I would have expected to pay for the quality of the hotel. For a two star hotel I would , at least, expect to have real glass glasses, not just paper cups.”

“Lobby, public areas in total disarray for remodeling that was not indicated. Was forced to move rooms because of remodeling after one night. Toilet broken in new, remodeled room. Was told maintenance man had gone home for the night. They had not attempted a repair by next afternoon.”
