  • Staff was extremely helpful & friendly.
  • Location wasn't great.

“Never having been to Seattle WA before, it was so comforting to have such friendly & helpful people available. The room was clean & quite nice, there was an in room fridge & microwave that are always helpful to the traveler on a budget. My overall experience was excellent.”

  • Everything looked modern and classy; nothing appeared cheap.
  • Only one elevator. Not enough exercise machines in gym.

“The rooms were clean and had all expected appliances. The bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast was A+. The hot tub and sauna were great; good it was 24 hours!”

  • Location.
  • Pot smell, employees not willing to help.

“We were very unsatisfied with our recent stay at the Best Western Loyal in Seattle. We first entered our room we found a dirty black sock under the desk. At about 7pm we started noticing a weird smell. I went into the hallway and the smell was way worse. There was a strong smell of marijuana coming from the hallway. I notified the front desk and he said he would have someone come up and look into it. I waiting in the hallway for over half a hour and no one showed. The smell just got worse all night and gave my wife a bad headache. At 9pm I went down and asked them for a extra blanket. He stated I will send one right up and we waited a hour and it never showed so we went to bed no one ever brought it.”

  • The hotel was in a great location and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
  • The hot tub was dirty.

“This hotel was in one of the best locations. Everything is in walking distance from the hotel. The breakfast had many different options and was very good.”

  • Easy 5-block walk to The Paramount.
  • Room was clean and adequate, but obviously not new.

“This motor hotel met our needs for a single night after seeing a show at The Paramount. Our ground-level room across from the hotel's laundry was a little creepy since we were eye-level to pedestrians and other guests in the parking lot.”

  • Eco friendly, complimentary breakfast is excellent!
  • Room was smaller than photo implied.

“Excellent location to all sites in Seattle.”

  • Great value.
  • None, for the price.

“For a 2-star hotel everything was as good if not better then I expected. The room was clean, the staff was nice, and the breakfast was good. We got to the hotel about 4 hours before check-in and they let us get our room early. Its about a 5 to10 minutes walk to the space needle and about 20 to 30 minutes walk to the pike market. We were able to walk to all the major attractions of Seattle from the hotel.”

  • Great location and helpful staff.
  • That they charge you 12 dollars a night extra to part in their parking lot. They stared vacuuming by 8am.

“Good location the free breakfast was nice and they have good service and help full staff.”

  • It was semi close to everything.
  • The hotel and room had an odor.

“The hotel was convenient by the locations, but the circumstances in the hotel room were not great.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[7]

  • The staff was friendly, convenient location to space needle and fish market (if you don't mind walking a little), pretty good continental breakfast.
  • The bed was uncomfortable.

“I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I actually found the staff to be very friendly, and the room clean and spacious. The only bad thing I would say about it is that the bed was uncomfortable, but we only stayed for one night anyway. It is in a good location for those who want to visit the Space Needle and Pike Place Market, if you don't mind walking a few blocks.”

  • Close to Space Needle.
  • Cost was too much.

“There was nothing wrong with this hotel. It was close to the Space Needle, but quite a walk (we drove) to the docks! I expected a much nicer hotel. But it had not even a pool. It was very average all the way around. Plus, parking was $11 just to park in their lot!”

  • Hot tube and swimming pool.
  • It smelled like a nursing home.

“The lobby and hallways smelled like a nursing home and you could hear everything from the surrounding rooms which made you uncomfortable.”

  • Location and being comfy for me.
  • Not really anything important except a little bit noisy because of wall thickness.

“I liked staying in this hotel. It was near the down town and was comfy. The breakfast was good and clean. The service was good. The receptionist tried to help as best as they could. The printer in business room need to have ink and they told me that as long as they know there was no ink in the printer before which surprised me.”

  • We really like the fact the hotel was located 2 blocks from the Space Needle and a 11.00 cab ride to Safeco Field.
  • Wasn't very clean feeling. But just for an over night stay it was perfect.

“We arrived to the hotel an hour before check-in time. We walked in not expecting to get a room because we were so early, but, to our surprise they not only ended up giving us a room with two beds, they let us check-in an hour early! The hotel is located outside the busy part of the industrial location and yet not right smack in the middle of the city. The continental breakfast was great. They had make your own waffles, fresh fruit, muffins, juices, coffee, and more. The best continental breakfast I have ever seen! I would stay at this hotel again for a overnight stay.”

  • They had a nice continental breakfast and were friendly.
  • I don't agree with charging parking to your own customers.

“I'm one that I don't like to spend time in my hotel when I go traveling. But I do want a place where I can feel safe and not get stressed out about my hotel room. The room was clean and comfortable. The soda machines were stocked. I didn't have to go far for ice and everything in my room worked fine. I appreciate the green quality with the soaps and shampoos. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I had to pay to park my vehicle $10 a night. After all, I am their customer and if I am paying to stay there, that should include my vehicle as well in the price, not an extra.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Convenient location, family friendly & excellent continental breakfast, safe surroundings.
  • Requires some upgrades to fixtures & decorations.

“Pleasant, but does require some up grading. Continental breakfast and area served is very pleasant and inviting was a hit with the young adults I was traveling with. Excellent location to enjoy the city and would certainly invite my friends to stay there! Staff was very helpful and made are stay pleasant!”

  • Good value for Downtown Seattle and has all the basics covered.
  • Relatively noisy location from traffic and a couple guests.

“This hotel offers a great value for Downtown Seattle. Occasional problem with drunken guests airing their domestic disputes at 4 am. Otherwise, services are sufficient, clean and reasonable for value travelers.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[4] • Location:[5]

  • The hot tub area was a good accessory after a long walk around the big city.
  • The person behind the counter the first night was a real jerk.

“I would advise an evaluation of the staff, and update the baby cribs, if I wouldn't have jimmy rigged it, my 10 mo. old daughter would have fallen out. Other than that, and the crappy location, everything else was very pleasant.”

  • Location, helpful and pleasant staff; excellent breakfast.
  • Light in room low.

“My sister, and both seniors, but a lot of fun, enjoyed our stay. It was just what we needed, economical, clean, helpful and pleasant staff. We felt safe there, and the parking was good.”
