“Wonderful staff, friendly and always helpful. Upscale bed linens, well-stocked mini-bar and incredible shower. However, we were in a room on the street side, as opposed to the water side, and had no view. In addition the room was noisy as we could hear traffic and trains all night.”

“This was/is a great place to get away with lots of local attractions close by. The decor is a cabin feel which makes for that comfy home feeling. Lots of fireplaces to hang out by including one in the room!”

“The Edgewater is perfect for those who do not want to drive to see what Seattle has to offer. Unfortunately the room size and lack of things such as a pool, sauna or free breakfast takes away from the experience.”

“The hotel is very conveniently located right on the water, with a wonderful lobby seating area which overlooks the sound where you can bring down coffee from your room and enjoy the ambiance. It is within walking distance to most of the major attractions and good restaurants. Free shuttle service to most areas of the city. Staff courteous and helpful. However the city view rooms are very small.”

“The location is lovely. The view is spectacular. The rooms are ok. The newly remodeled bathrooms do not go with the rest of the room, and there was no hot water. When the hotel was informed of the lack of hot water and our inability to shower they did not show much concern at all.”

“Conveniently located along Seattle's Pier District, the hotel offers a certain air of coziness from the lobby to the rooms. The staff is friendly and accommodating.”

“The room was comfortable, but not set up to be very useful to someone needing to work. No real desk and chair. It also always infuriates me that lower end hotels always seem to provide free internet service but higher end hotels find a need to charge for it.”

“Beautiful hotel we opted to upgrade for 50 and felt it was well worth it for the view.”

“This hotel is water front but away from everything (use courtesy shuttle provided by the hotel-free). Hotel rooms are newly remodeled but paper-thin walls, but bathroom was really nice (best shower that I had). Bar is busy and good for a night cap and restaurant is excellent and have one of the best view of. Staff was super friendly. Especial notes for dinning room waitress, cocktail waitress, front desk and desk shuttle driver.”

“You should not put this in the 4 star rating if you will not have any chance to get a room that qualifies for this rating. You will receive the worst location, smallest room possible on the side facing the railroad tracks. I usually get the Sheraton and have never had a problem with he room or having two beds and having to pay more to upgrade. They offer upgrades with add on costs to everyone. I was attending an event in the heart of Downtown and had to use the hotel shuttle to reach it. It should not be in the 4 star Downtown groups. It needs to be under waterfront or something like that. I had no choice but to pay more and make it work out. I did like the larger, water view rooms that were nice but more expensive than I planned.”

“The bar has a great happy hour and the food in the cafe was not half bad. Be ready for a stinky musty walk to your room down the hallway. Once you get to your room you might mistaken it for a cruise ship bedroom and bathroom because the size is so small!”

“The hotel is in a beautiful setting and most of the Downtown attractions are walk able. The only downside of this hotel was the noisy trains which run quite a bit, right outside the hotel.”

“The hotel is not located Downtown which I wanted; the outside of the hotel looks like an old run down motel and the hallways looks bad too but the rooms are fabulous, beautiful decor and a stunning bathroom but the lighting is too dim to apply makeup or style hair. There was huge plasma TV as well and very comfortable bedding. The room is 4 stars but everything else at this place is more like a 3 star.”

“This hotel had false fire alarms during my stay and no one would explain to the customers why. The hotel itself is convenient and the rooms are nice, but I lost sleep waking to loud alarms going off at night and early in the morning. Hotel manager says it does not happen often, but made no effort to comp me for my troubles.”
