  • The balcony and bay view from the room was spectacular.
  • The $33 per day mandatory valet parking.

“ This hotel certainly lives up to expectations. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. I was thrilled to get a room upgrade to an even better bay front water view. The room was large, had a nice gas fireplace, and the bed was super pillow-top comfort with luxurious sheets. I dined at the 67 restaurant, and enjoyed Happy Hour at sunset which was very beautiful from their cocktail lounge. In room dining/room service take about 15-20 minutes and the breakfast and dinner I ordered exceeded my expectation for being delicious, attractively presented. Breakfast was a great meal, good value and service was prompt. Price for dinner and room service seemed a bit high, $38 given I ordered 1/2 entree and a side salad, but it was just so delicious! I cannot say enough wonderful things, I'm very glad I stayed at The Edgewater! ”

  • It was a cute boutique hotel with cute furnishings and a nice fireplace in each room. The lobby was beautiful.
  • There is no real bathroom door. Makes privacy an issue especially when going with friends (and not family).

“The hotel was cute. It was a nice boutique hotel where each room has different furnishings that ranges from very old to very new. The bear ottoman was cute. The only big problem is that the bathroom door does not really close, so it makes privacy an issue. The rooms get VERY warm and stuffy and there is no air conditioner, only a fan. The windows open, but it gets loud outside.”

  • The fireplace in the room.
  • Too far from downtown.

“This hotel was a wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The fireplaces in the rooms and watching the ferries go by.”

  • It felt like a lodge and the location and view was the best.
  • Nothing

“When checking in they asked us if we wanted to upgrade to a water view and we did. Then we had to wait a bit for them to figure it out so they upgraded us to a waterfront suite. SWEET!”

  • Aesthetically beautiful with the northwestern theme and the location.
  • Freezing cold room, next to laundry room so very noisy, fireplace not working, heat not working, did not get our bed preference.

“I think I said most of it above. It seemed that we were placed in a cold, rarely used room that was near the laundry room, which made it noisy. We were given 2 beds instead of one on a romantic get away. We arrived late and could not get the room to heat up. Fireplace pilot was not lit. The most frustrating issues were our placement in the hotel and the cold room. We knew there were other rooms available as the hotel was not busy so we felt a bit shafted. Since it was late when we arrived (about 10:30) we just wanted to get some sleep and were too tired to deal with the heating issues. It is a beautiful hotel, but we were very disappointed in our comfort level.”

  • Restaurant on the water.
  • Location and room with no view.

“If looking for a quiet and/or romantic hotel with a great water view, this hotel would be fine. But, you need to pay extra for a view room. I would recommend eating elsewhere as the hotel bar and restaurant are rather pricey (unless, again, you want a view).”

  • The rooms were very nice and very clean, good location if you want to stay downtown.
  • The rooms had 2 double beds and if we wanted to upgrade it would of cost another $50 a night, the rooms also very warm and had no phone books!

“The hotel was wonderful, right on the water and great location to the Pike Place Market and to downtown, our only complaint was the room had 2 double beds and it would of cost us $50 more to upgrade.”

  • Our room was hanging over the water of Puget Sound. Stunning!

“From the moment we pulled up to the valet parking, on to registration where we were given an ocean view room, to entering the room everything was splendid. The staff are friendly & helpful. The rooms clean & well appointed. A most pleasurable experience.”

  • The dinning room was wonderful and we loved the happy hour there.

“The room itself was nothing special. The bathroom was wonderful but the room smelled like smoke even though it was non smoking. The carpeting was worn and old looking. The lobby was beautiful.”

  • On the water.
  • No amenities like pool, jacuzzi, etc didn't much come across as a 4 star.

“It didn't meet my expectations of a 4 star hotel... I will search 3 star again on Priceline and get a better hotel I feel.”

  • Views.
  • Rude staff.

“Rooms were small but nice w/gas fireplace. Asked front desk about a list of amenities that were offered at hotel and was told they do not have a list then asked if they had a swimming pool and was told the hotel would sink if they had a pool, Needless to say the front staff needs to take some customer service training classes.”

  • Great location on the water.

“Great hotel if you get a bigger room and pay the upgrade fee. Very average if you get a small room not on the water. Good location. Nice staff. Better hotels uptown without an upgrade cost.”

“This hotel was built for the 1962 Seattle Worlds Fair. It has been kept modern and up to date, yet has a lodge feel. Very comfortable, built on a pier over the seattle waterfront.”

  • Near pike's market and bus 99 stops along street. Three blocks up to eateries.
  • Central heat was overly warm for a some studio room. Need newspaper in lobby.

“Great hotel situated right in the water. One side of hotel looks out into bay. Other side looks to street. Trains are actively running through nights. My room hears every train rumbling through especially around 10:00 pm. Lights overall are dim which creates a romantic atmosphere but otherwise hard on the eyes. Staff is friendly. They can tell you where to visit.”

  • Lobby, location, free shuttle and great bathroom.

“Loved the fireplace and the bathroom, staff very friendly, loved the waterside view and feeding the seagulls out the window.”

  • Good view, friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating. Nice decor.
  • Parking for $30/day. Far too expensive.

“Locating right on the water in the Seattle port, this hotel had great views, friendly and helpful staff, and was generally very good value for the cost. My only negative comment is that the parking for $30/day should be a lot more clearly advertized. The price is simply too high, even for the downtown area, and you don't have much of an option when you pull out and the valet practically jumps in your vehicle.”
