  • Location was beautiful.
  • There was no spa, small bath, parking cost $15 a day.

“The hotel was boring and the staff uncaring. highly prefer the Doubletree in Berkeley for same price or the Residence Inn in San Francisco.”

  • Good overall for the price.
  • Listened to the freeway all night, noisy.

“Beds are very comfortable. They need better insulation or windows, the freeway noise was horrible!”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[5] • Location:[8]

  • The Man who brought up my Mother's Day breakfast was absolutely great and totally professional representing the hotel very well.
  • I did not like the fact that we had to pay for parking there. Towel was stained with grease. Dirty dishes outside of our room when we checked in.

“This hotel was just ok. Nothing spectacular at all. Like I said, there were little things that surprised me that I didn't think the Doubletree Hotel was like that. Meaning, stained towel, dishes still outside of our room next to the door when we got to our room. And especially the fact that we had to pay for parking.”

  • Warm chocolate cookies at bedtime.
  • A/C not quite cool enough.

“Nice hotel, room was clean, staff was friendly, limited room service available.”

  • The house keeping did an super job. She organized all my things, even hung up my clothes, and folded my socks. Those little things made my day!
  • No Salmon at the restaurant and no mint jelly once I ordered lamb chops. It sound silly, but is aggravating when you pay $40 for dinner.

“I liked this hotel. The rooms were updated, the house keeping was great, and the weight room was fantastic! They had the "we can't accommodate you for anything else" attitude when I checked in. I travel every week and experience this a lot. Even though I am a Silver Hilton Honors Member. At least I got my cookie!”

  • I liked the bed.
  • They charge 15 a day for parking, checked in on Friday out on Sun so an additional 45 plus tax!

“They charge for parking, and don't think you can get around it, they lock you in!”

  • Clean, nearby the bay.
  • Parking problem, this hotel does not provide any parking, except you pay for it!

“Location is very close to San Francisco, is about in between San Francisco Downtown and San Jose. Please prepare another $15.00 extra for the parking per night.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • Shuttle service and warm cookies upon check-in.
  • Roaches in the bathroom upon entering the bathroom in the morning!

“The short shuttle ride was great. At the hotel in less that 15 minutes. I was offered a warm chocolate chip cookie upon my arrival and check-in. Bed was comfortable enough to get to sleep in a reasonable amount of time. I woke up in the morning to start the day and found roaches scrambling to hide. This was the night day I left my tooth brush out of the carrying case! Great stay until seeing the uninvited roommates.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[7] • Location:[10]

  • Very comfortable beds! And down comforters!
  • Had no adjoining rooms and no free breakfast.

“The hotel was close to the airport and had a free shuttle to the airport! Also had very good strawberry Margheritas! Also the beds were very comfortable even though they were doubles and the shower pressure was awesome. Very nice. Definitely would stay again!”

  • The hotel was perfect for what it was needed for.
  • Parking was an additional $15 a night.

“This location was by San Francisco airport and only 15 min to Downtown and very close to Half Moon Bay, San Jose and Oakland. The room was well laid out well and the hotel had free internet access in there business room.”

  • Location.
  • I had to pay for parking and internet access - absolutely unheard of.

“While this hotel had a great location and was well appointed for the price it has two absolutely unacceptable features for a 3 star hotel - You have to $15 a day to park your car and $10 a day for in room WIRED hi-speed internet. The motel 6 is only $3 for Wi-Fi! I can't believe as a guest I had to pay $15 a day for the privilege of parking my car overnight at the hotel - no one in mgmt had a good answer for why they do this and discourage business travelers since there are a myriad of opportunities to stay in the South SFO area. There is a Homewood Suites 5 miles North of SFO that has free breakfast, dinner, parking, and Wi-Fi. Not to mention its $10 a day cheaper. You should be able to tolerate airport noise, especially in a North facing room.”

  • Convenient to airport.
  • Incredibly high pitched fire alarm whistle in room.

“Great location for overnight stay to catch early AM flight out of SFO. Unfortunately fire alarm went off @12:30AM (false alarm), alarm in room is high pitched piercing whistle (gets your attention), but even after announcement of false alarm & "go back to what you were doing", (uh, sleeping), couldn't even stay within room until the figured out how to defeat alarms made for ugly 5AM wake-up.”

  • Close to airport with shuttle.
  • Perhaps a station should be set up in the Business center for printing airline tickets only. Long wait for computer.

“Good choice to stay near the airport.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[6] • Location:[7]

  • I like the classic old fashioned club ambiance of the public spaces.
  • The food in the restaurant was poor and not really fresh or vibrant.

“Room was clean but old fashioned, old carpet. Receptionist was perfunctory, had to walk along way to room, didn't offer help with bags, from a porter or the like. Generally a pleasant stays though.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[4] • Location:[6]

  • The bed was nice.
  • They charged you for everything.

“Warning this hotel charges you for everything. $15.00 for parking, $9.95 for internet, no free breakfast. There are other hotels next door which offer free parking, free internet, and a free breakfast - all for the same or lower price.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • Warm, friendly front desk personnel with warm cookies!
  • The $15 per night parking fee with no alternatives in the vicinity. Highway robbery.

“This is my second stay at the Doubletree and I've found the accommodations to be very comfortable and the rooms, if a bit outdated, clean and cozy. The staff is friendly but be prepared for the $15 per night parking fee.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Rooms were very clean with great linens.
  • $15.00 parking fee for an unsecured parking lot. Could have said I do not have a car.

“Easy access from SFO and north just short drive to the city or south to the peninsula. Great for late evening arrivals or early departure flights out from SFO. Did not have chance to try the restaurants since Burlingame area has terrific world class dining and the best pancake breakfasts in the USA at Stacks in Burlingame.”

  • They welcome you with warm chocolate cookies when checking in.
  • There is a fee for parking, $15.

“This hotel is conveniently located to San Francisco City, about 15 miles. There is a shuttle that will take you to SFO which is great. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • Warm cookies.
  • Rooms beside the noisy ice-machine.

“Nothing wrong with the hotel. Often, the Reception staff are allot less polite then full paying customers. It is very short term thinking as Biz Travelers like myself and my colleagues will spend a whole lot staying at their hotels. They should be happy to have a higher occupancy rate due to travelers like us.”
