• Free breakfast and free WiFi in the rooms.
• It's starting to look a little run down.

“We have stayed here before, and it was better a couple years ago. Still fine, but it is getting a little run down. The carpet in the hallways, etc. is not in great shape. The room was OK, but the bathroom door wouldn't lock, and the shower curtain was dirty. It's looking like it could use some renovations.”

• Staff was so professional and friendly. Would defiantly use again.
• The carpets were a bit stained, and some trash around outside.

“We were making a quick trip to Calif. And this hotel was a great price, well located, and able to take our 2 small pets, that we always travel with. Great staff.”

• I liked the location and the balcony with the rooms.
• The room was a little shabby.

“The location to the main highway was important and easy to find. The room was a little shabby but the balcony was marvelous. The ice machines were few and far between and that was not good.”

• Spacious room with convenient location.
• Free breakfast ended too early.

“Easy to find with a helpful staff. The room was very large and spacious with comfortable beds. The pool was also very nice and it had a small Jacuzzi.”

• Staff were friendly.
• Bedspread had some strong smell.

“Located on a busy road full of hotels and restaurants-road was under construction. Staff was friendly, but knew little about the town. The map they had was almost worthless. The free internet service didn't exist in any meaningful way-and interfered with on-board compatibility. Bed clothing on 1 of 2 beds had some strong smell.”

• Front desk personnel nice-but didn't pick the best room.
• Noisy-I asked for a quiet room and it was anything but.

• The beds were comfortable and clean.
• The check out clerk was less than friendly.

“It's a decent 2-star hotel. Nothing fancy, but it is clean and convenient to freeways. The AC has been upgraded and is efficient without being wasteful. What else to say? Nothing memorable about the place, but that is a lot better than having something negative to say. Everything was clean and well taken care of.”

• Overcrowded continental breakfast-not enough seating.

“Very clean, however room TV remote did not work and light bulbs needed replacing on two lamps. Continental breakfast was very adequate (not just donuts and coffee). The room was very comfortable and not in the least noisy from outside traffic or other rooms.”

• Accepted request for down stairs and next to exit. Loved the outdoor pool.
• It was not clean. Scraps of garbage in the hallways. A discarded clothing tag on our room floor when we got there.

“I was happy, over all, with our hotel. The out door pool was very nice and easily accessible. It was the most run down "La Quinta" I have ever stayed in (I've stayed in 5 or 6 and they are usually very well maintained.) I was surprised at the dirty hallways. The breakfast was really nice.”

• Close to where I needed to be.
• The breakfast buffet was not good at all, especially the coffee, it was always burnt, not a very big choice either of food.

“Hotel needs a little upgrading, furnishings are dated, elevated needs work, it is small and needs upgrading, at times I didn't think the door would open, it opened so slowly. The hotel must have been quite a nice place a few years ago. Just needs some care.”

• Very nice rooms, DSL great service excellent overall great.
• Parking not great, but no real problem.

“Hotel very clean rooms big not huge. Nice outside sitting area to relax. Good breakfast coffee in room or down stairs. Nice selection of items at breakfast. All in all very enjoyable stay and also close to all areas of Redding California.”

• The continental breakfast was convenient.
• We wanted king size bed/non smoking room and got a two full size beds in a smoking room.

“The room faced I-5, was on the 3rd floor and received the most sun/noise. We wanted a king bed, preferably nonsmoking room. We got two double beds and a smoking room. Probably the worst room in the hotel. One staff person was very friendly and apologetic.”

“The location of La Quinta is great as it is east to locate. We were disappointed to note the lack of maintenance of the room. I do not like to have the coffee pot in the bathroom.”

• The maintenance staff was excellent - very responsive.
• No refrigs in the rooms, no DVD players on premises.

“Overall the appearance was nice, the breakfast was ok if you like white bagels in bags, sweet rolls in bags, sugary muffins in bags. Appreciated that there was fresh fruit and yogurt. There has been some remodeling and everything was clean. Had a couple of encounters with the desk staff that were less than stellar. Maybe because they were dealing with our 20 something girls and didn't feel they needed to be treated as well as the "adults". The beds were to my liking and the location fit us really well for the things we were doing. Overall, I'd probably go there again if I did not absolutely have to have a refrig in the room. Need it for insulin and they have a limited number available that they move from room to room.”
