• Overall a 3 star+, slightly small but pleasant rooms, nice furnishings, superior bedding. Hotel staff was friendly & helpful. SFO Shuttle.
• No breakfast included. Pay for internet & no wireless. No general shuttle, but restaurants walkable.

“Very nice hotel with convenient shuttle service to SFO airport. Small pool and whirlpool off central lobby looked nice. Exercise rooms well equipped with a variety of modern machines with built-in video. Bathroom in room was a bit old, as were carpets in hallways to rooms, but main lobby was high class and up to date. Didn't try hotel bar or restaurant, but they looked pleasant. Staff was extremely helpful with information & guidance, and the doorman was not only pleasant, but lent me an umbrella for my walk to a nearby restaurant (Elephant Bar & Grill, nice food & view of bay/airplanes). For free internet, I hiked 7 minutes. Across the highway overpass to the Panera Restaurant & bought a cup of coffee. A helpful lobby staff member also informed me that the Clarion Hotel right behind the Westin, is the same ownership, and has free wireless in their lobby. Overall, a great place both for family & business travelers.”

• Nice sheets and bed.
• Staff was not sensitive to travelers. Unfriendly.

“Woke up at midnight with the ceiling leaking water on the bed. Hotel staff moved us to a new room that was not to original specifications. There was absolutely no acknowledgment of this discomfort, and no price adjustment or special accommodation for our situation. I will not stay at this hotel again. The customer service was not up to par with a 4 star hotel. Disappointed.”

• We liked the location.
• We did not like the fact that it was not really family friendly hotel.

“Overall out stay at the hotel was nice. The location was awesome, it was easy to get to the hotel and convenient. We traveled with 3 children so they enjoyed the pool.”

• Location.
• Stains on floor, outrageous parking fees and condescending front desk clerk.

“Lower the star rating to a three and it would be nice. Remind the help who they work for. Eliminate parking fees to hotel guests.”

• The open lobby
• Tiny cramped bar

“The low level of cleanliness in the bathroom was absolutely unacceptable. The entire experience (huge maid carts still blocking the long hallways at 7pm) was a get em in get em out spot to stay. I even wondered if they changed the sheets.”

• Clean, convenient and comfortable.
• No nearby stores, gas station or shopping.

“For the business traveler not needing immediate access to downtown San Francisco, trhis hotel is perfect. Service is excellent, workout room, pool, business center and lounge are all top notch. Very close to SFO Airport, less than a mile from the 101 freeway and not too far from San Francisco's financial district make this a great spot to stay.”

• Very large room with a comfortable bed.

“We had a beautiful room with a nice view. We only stayed for 1 night before our early morning flight. We took the shuttle to and from the airport. Everything worked out great.”

• Took porter too long to bring up luggage, had to call down.

“Nice location near the water. Modern upscale rooms with easy shuttle service to SFO. Hotel has a beautiful lobby and entry way as well.”

• Location, space, cleanliness. It is very close to airport and not far from downtown and freeway.
• Breakfast has very limited choice including the buffet.

• Great bed, quiet room.
• Hallways and elevator area are dimly lit.

“Very nice hotel, very nice staff. The 1st room we were assigned smelled like smoke. We asked for another room and got one with no problem and with apologies. The bed was perfect, a pillow top with individual springs like a Simmons. There was no sound from other rooms. The bathroom was very nice and roomy. There was a duel shower head in the shower. The only minor complaint, the restaurant had good food but the menu was limited and pricey, (orange juice for breakfast was $5.00 a glass).”

• The rooms and public areas were very clean.
• While the service personnel were friendly front desk personnel somewhat reserved.

• Location to airport.
• Looking a little run down.

“Good overnighter before leaving from SFO. Shuttle every 20 minutes; rooms very quiet, beds comfortable. Looking a little run down in some of the public areas and not what you'd expect from a Westin or 4-star hotel, but nothing terrible, either.”
