• Down pillows and comforters! Free internet, coffee, water!
• Long wait for free internet, could use some more computers.

“Super clean, comfy, nighttime staff could use some customer service improvement- not terribly friendly. Great to have coffee, water, laundry facilities. Oh, No Jacuzzi! Great bedding! Great lobby and location.”

• Tiny bathroom and dorm-style room dimensions.

“Club Quarters in San Francisco has a great location, walking distance to the Embarcadero, Chinatown, and North Beach. It's a very modern, business style hotel with smallish rooms and a European feel. A nice touch is the Elephant and Castle bar, right next door. Overall, an excellent hotel experience.”

• The suites were very cozy & well equipped with extras.
• Parking problems, took too long to open gate after hours.

“Excellent for business or pleasure. Many extras such as free bottled water on each floor, and access to extra blankets pillows each floor. Great coffee and tea set up downstairs lobby, Several lobby computers for use, and great lobby atmosphere.”

• Great location, great lounge area with computers for guest use, coffee, friendly staff.
• Our room was small, but not overly so.

“We found this hotel to be a great value with a good location (right next to the Transamerica building so always easy to find). The staff was good, immediately moving us to a new room when the supposedly non-smoking room we were given smelled of cigar smoke. The room was clean and comfortable and well-appointed while being small. The serve-yourself bottled water and guest request closet in the hallway were a nice touch. The lobby/lounge had 24 hour coffee and tea service, lots of comfortable seating and 3 computers complete with printers for guest use. The adjoining bar/restaurant was nice (I do not like to travel with a laptop on vacation). We were on vacation, and did not intend to spend a lot of time in our room, so the size did not bother us at all. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.”

“Great location but room was too small for two unrelated people. I was with an adult relative; bed was said to be a queen but did not seem so; more towels could have been provided, not every guest stays alone or is related.”

• Great location, price and quality. The rooms are small but nice. For a weekend or nights stay, it is worth it.
• Nothing I did not like.

“This hotel in SF is a great hotel if you are not traveling for the hotel. If you want a great hotel experience, stay somewhere else. Instead, the hotel (great for business travelers) appears new, modern and very clean. The rooms are small, but unless you plan on spending a lot of time in your room, this is not a problem. The hotel does not have a parking structure, but instead you have to use a nearby lot or garage. We used the garage at One Embarcadero Center, which is right across the street, and had no problems whatsoever. In fact, the in out parking that we had was still cheaper than most downtown hotels overnight parking. The hotel is conveniently located 3 blocks from Chinatown and just a little bit further from Union Square and North Beach. If you need a cab, go to the front of the Hilton on Kearney and there is curbside cab service. You may have to wait, but it sure beats hailing a cab in busy SF. The hotel is worth the money, offers free bottled water (you fill it yourself!) and has a couple of computers to use for free in a rather nice lounge area beyond the front desk and elevators. Hope this helps.”

• Paper thin walls, could hear doors slamming all morning.

• Room was nice, staff was friendly.
• No parking. Noisy.

“The hotel itself is nice, very clean and comfortable, but the lack of parking was a big nuisance. Downtown San Francisco is very noisy and smells like garbage, but that's not the hotels fault, but I am unlikely to stay there again because of these three factors.”

• Hotel staff is rude and not helpful.

“We enjoyed the location and free internet this hotel had to offer, but we were harassed by housekeeping to tip daily (we usually tip 1x at the end) she actually said 'no tip, no service' and she meant it! The walls are so extremely thin that we could hear someone in the room next to us sneeze. The beds are uncomfortable and small (they call them queen size, but they look like doubles to me) and the pillows are very thin.”

• I liked the tall showerhead.
• The room was the smallest hotel room I've ever seen.

“This room did not accommodate 2 adults like I asked for. I would not recommend this room to anyone traveling with 2 or more.”

• I felt fairly safe as you must have a key to access the elevator.
• No parking, no valet, very small rooms and bathrooms.

“I was surprised when I arrived at the hotel that there was no parking and no valet service. I was disappointed to see the size of the bathroom. I did feel fairly safe, as you must have a key to access the elevator.”

• Air freshener in AC, thin walls.

“Club Quarters was very clean. The rooms are fairly small but would work well for a business traveler. I didn't like how they used strong smelling air fresheners in the AC. The smell was so strong anytime we turned the unit on it gave us headaches. I finally had my husband take it out and set it in the hallway. The only other thing was you couldn't open the windows for fresh air. The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel felt safe and secure.”

“Close to activities and MUNI line. Good if you're not spending a lot of time in the room, as they are very small, with only a small window but it was clean, updated and nicely decorated and staff is very nice, beds are small.”

• Very clean and secure; convenient to all locations.
• Could hear noise from hall and adjoining rooms.

“Overall I was very pleased with the hotel. One special note was the phone greeting from the manager welcoming me to the hotel and wishing me a pleasant stay. The only thing I could complain about it the noise from the hall and adjoining rooms. The rooms didn't seem to have any sort of sound barrier between the rooms. In fact there was the annoying noise of a baby crying in an adjoining one for one night. Otherwise everything was fine.”

• Clean and comfortable. Location was good for parking and walks.

“Hotel was located within walking distance of Embarcadero, North Beach and close to Union Sq. Nice. Clean environment with security measures that were well thought out. Rooms were well appointed, small but adequate. Enjoyable visit and would recommend for a stay in SF.”
