“The Desk Staff was excellent, accommodating an early check in with no problem. Concierge desk was very knowledgeable and eager to help with directions and recommendations. Convenient location, surrounded by restaurants, retail, and all methods of transportation. I'll definitely return.”

“ The hotel was very nice the staff was great. My wife left her watch in the room accidentally when we left. When we realized it was missing we called the hotel. The Housekeeping person sent someone to find the watch, which they promptly did. They offered to hold it for her, but since we were on a tight schedule we ask to have it mailed, it was waiting for us when we got home. ”

“This is my second stay here. The first was three years ago on Marriott points for a party in the city and I liked the spacious room but didn't use the hotel amenities. This visit was for two nights and I'm in the room now. I've just stayed in Club Quarters in Embarcadero for five nights and Doubletree in Berkeley for three moving to here. This hotel is a grand place with a great location and views. It's immaculately clean. The half price cocktails in the sky view bar at happy hour are about the best value thing here, the restaurants are very expensive and offer little choice between them. Room service is astronomical- the standard ridiculous $14 for a Marriott burger, oh plus 18% gratuity, 9.75% tax and $3 tray charge $21.13 for a burger! Club Quarters was cheaper, offered free WiFi throughout the hotel, free laundry facilities”

“I would never stay here again because of the parking. There was not street parking, so we got ripped off and taken advantage of at the hotel.”

“The Marriott is great. It is downtown and accessible to everything, but the bells at St. Patricks ring 16 times at 7:30 a.m. every morning followed by police/fire sirens. Not the hotel's fault. I was disappointed with the size and configuration of the room. Otherwise good value for my money.”

“I enjoyed the upscale room after a very busy day. The mattress was excellent, and the room decor was well done. The room was also very clean. The location was excellent, next to the BART, the shopping district, the cable car turnaround, and there are many fine restaurants.”

“The hotel was not a 4 star hotel. Mini bar was a joke. Lighting in the room was poor. Bathrooms had no towel hooks, or bathrobes.”

“The staff at the hotel would not honor the reservation that I made through your service. I will be writing a formal complaint. I did not stay at the hotel, they canceled my reservation and did not refund or find me another room. This was the first time with your service and most likely the last!”

“My stay at the Marriott was not good. I booked a room for 4. I asked about the breakfast plan. The adviser said we can add the breakfast plan to our room which we did. When we arrived we were told that the breakfast plan only included breakfast for 2. They made us pay for 2 more people when we arrived, how terrible. I told them we added it to our room when we booked. The Marriott is awful to do that to people. I will never recommend a Marriott or stay at one again.”

“ Really close to BART station, SF shopping center, Moscone, and Metreon, union square. Rooms were clean, most of the staff was pleasant, minus one bellman. The Fourth Street Bar is OK. Kind of like a 'fast food' bar. You order your food and pick it up at the bar. Food was OK. ”
