“Great hotel for the price I got on priceline. The rooms are extremely small, and I would not pay full price for the room.”

“While the hotel is located in an ideal location, right at Union Square with all the shopping and tourist attractions, the rooms are very old and small. Windows were small and faced the alley, so no natural light was let in and the room felt very enclosed. The bathroom was in serious need of a deep cleaning, if not a complete overhaul.”

“The front desk staff was friendly, the rest were rude. The prices were outrageous, but the location and the looks of the hotel were great. Overall, it was a great deal can't have everything!”

“They gave us a queen bed, but the price for a queen and a double double are exactly the same on Expedia...it's clean but incredibly small.”

“Lovely hotel but I guess, they give you the smallest room available with no view. This was understandable although our room was really too small for two people.”

“WOW! I was amazed and I'm not easily amazed. I thought they would stick us in one of the bargain rooms, like a closed next to the elevator but the corner room was
huge and beautiful. I travel a lot but I've never seen such a great room & hotel with such a central location at this price in the US. You could stay at a motel near the highway for
more than what I paid. I was so utterly impressed.”

“Don't park here. There's a forced parking by attendant, a $50/day charge and a forced bellhop.”

“This hotel is awesome. It is located in the heart of Union Square, San Francisco, making it accessible to wonderful restaurants, live theatre, shopping, sight-seeing, etc.
We felt very pampered in the hotel environment.”

“St Francis needs to be seriously updated. The lobby is cold and not very friendly. The piano bar is closed with plywood boards all over.”

“It's a great place to stay overall, but best if you pay their full price. My room was attractive and clean but didn't have that upscale feel you would expect even from a lower priced room at the St.Francis. The luxuries listed and shown on the hotels web site were not what I experienced.”

“The room was okay, but not a 4 stars hotel. The corridors of the hotel make you feel that you are in an old Hospital. No style, no colors, depressing. My room's door was right next to another room's door and every time my neighbors opened and close the door I felt like they were in my own room. Small well-decorated room, but no closet space at all, I had to keep everything in my suitcase. I'm not picky about hotels, I just wanted to be able to sleep and I couldn't. It was a hospital experience. Big disappointment for a Westin Hotel.”

“Wonderful mix of historic details and modern touches. The amenities are nice, the staff is helpful, and overall the hotel is lovely. The in house restaurants/bars are great (Oak Room). Also the Michael Mina restaurant and his Clock Bar are amazing and right in the hotel. Great location for a tourist-y visit, but also for business if you want a bustling spot.”

“A beautiful old world hotel with superb service and luxurious accommodations. The staff I dealt with, at the front desk and concierge desk, was friendly and helpful. The common areas are lovely and comfortable, and my room was perfect. A magnificent bed and HDTV graced the room. Every detail seemed well thought out, from the thick comfy bathrobe to the double-headed shower. And the view of San Francisco was magnificent.”

“Even though this is a 4 star hotel, I would give it a 2.5 to 3. I didn't expect that I would be getting a luxury suite, but I also didn't expect a coat closet. And who charges for ice?”
