“The Stanford Court remains the charming hotel I recall from decades ago, even after renovations. The staff is superb.”

“A great location and a beautiful facility made the Stanford court the perfect hotel for our vacation. We found it so easy to get around the city from the Stanford Court and would recommend it to friends.”

“I liked the hotel overall and the rooms were comfortable and nice. However, it is an ld building that new Air conditioning units and new plumbing. I felt it was a bit over priced considering it did not include breakfast, did not have a fridge and there were no robes or added touches like that. I was impressed with the gym though, and the location is great.”

“The hotel was OK for the price. Not really bad for a 1 night stay alone. I would not bring a spouse for a romantic weekend. Everything seemed a little worn with another coat of paint on top and then cuffed with shoe marks.”

“This is a lovely hotel both in the room and the public areas. Away from the hustle-bustle of Union square which is good for the quiet, but wear your walking shoes if you are on foot, as it is nearly at the top of Nob hill, up very steep sidewalks. My only criticisms are that there are no towel ring/racks in the sink area of the bathroom, and there is no in-house convenience store. It was not possible to buy a newspaper, and there were no newspapers available at the concierge - they had run out. The newspaper boxes on the sidewalks require 4 quarters which I did not have, so I went to Illy's coffee across the street and bought a coffee I didn't need, in order to buy the newspaper. Aside from those small items, it is 4 star and very nice.”

“No mini bar, no shampoo, binds for the windows but they did not black out, so too bright at night to sleep.”

“Nice hotel, but room layout was not the greatest. Only one hook provided to hang a towel on next to the shower. No other towel bars anywhere in the bathroom. Closet was in the bathroom, TV was on a side wall and difficult to see, especially since a large window was right next to it (glare on screen). Carpet was quite dirty, especially in the hallway, otherwise hotel was clean. Service was great and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was okay. Breakfast was average and overpriced, but I guess that's how things are in a larger city. Dinner was better but still pricey. Overall, the areas the hotel was lacking in were made up for by the friendly and courteous staff.”

“Hotel was nice enough. In my opinion I was taken advantage of regarding the parking charge they levied on me upon check-out. I would not have stayed here if I knew that was going to be the case.”

“Great Location, nicely remodeled, but the rooms weren't completely furnished: no sun shade, and only two towels in the room.”

“Hotel desk was very busy and had to wait a little longer than I was comfortable with. At 2:45 they said our room on floor 6 was not ready, but gave us a no view room on floor 2. We could have waited, but were tired from a days jet, train travel and wanted a room. Rate was good, thanks to Priceline! Would stay thee again, but a 4 star rating might be a reach, in my estimation. Very nice experience though.”
