  • Location, style, convenience and amenities.
  • They charged $15/day for internet access.

“A great location and a beautiful facility made the Stanford court the perfect hotel for our vacation. We found it so easy to get around the city from the Stanford Court and would recommend it to friends.”

  • Great location and lovely room.
  • The fixtures were old, so shower was poor and air con was loud. There was no fridge in room either.

“I liked the hotel overall and the rooms were comfortable and nice. However, it is an ld building that new Air conditioning units and new plumbing. I felt it was a bit over priced considering it did not include breakfast, did not have a fridge and there were no robes or added touches like that. I was impressed with the gym though, and the location is great.”

  • Parking prices, small bed.

“We won't stay anywhere on Nob Hill again!”

  • The price was great and location was interesting, and there was an excellent view from room.
  • Hallways and doors were scuffed, looked dated with a coat of paint.

“The hotel was OK for the price. Not really bad for a 1 night stay alone. I would not bring a spouse for a romantic weekend. Everything seemed a little worn with another coat of paint on top and then cuffed with shoe marks.”

  • The bed and bedding was very nice. Room was good size, though bathroom was small.
  • No towel ring/rack in the bathroom and was inconvenient. No convenience shop. No newspaper available.

“This is a lovely hotel both in the room and the public areas. Away from the hustle-bustle of Union square which is good for the quiet, but wear your walking shoes if you are on foot, as it is nearly at the top of Nob hill, up very steep sidewalks. My only criticisms are that there are no towel ring/racks in the sink area of the bathroom, and there is no in-house convenience store. It was not possible to buy a newspaper, and there were no newspapers available at the concierge - they had run out. The newspaper boxes on the sidewalks require 4 quarters which I did not have, so I went to Illy's coffee across the street and bought a coffee I didn't need, in order to buy the newspaper. Aside from those small items, it is 4 star and very nice.”

  • Nothing.
  • The accommodation were not up to my expectations of four star hotels.

“No mini bar, no shampoo, binds for the windows but they did not black out, so too bright at night to sleep.”

  • The staff was very friendly and helpful in making recommendations about sightseeing, transportation, parking, etc.
  • The decor was too yellow, filthy carpet, no towel bars in the bathroom.

“Nice hotel, but room layout was not the greatest. Only one hook provided to hang a towel on next to the shower. No other towel bars anywhere in the bathroom. Closet was in the bathroom, TV was on a side wall and difficult to see, especially since a large window was right next to it (glare on screen). Carpet was quite dirty, especially in the hallway, otherwise hotel was clean. Service was great and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was okay. Breakfast was average and overpriced, but I guess that's how things are in a larger city. Dinner was better but still pricey. Overall, the areas the hotel was lacking in were made up for by the friendly and courteous staff.”

“Beautiful rooms, great service, and a great location. Highly recommend this hotel, particularly if you can get a good price on Priceline!”

  • Location.
  • They charged me $105 to park my car with them without any warning on check-in.

“Hotel was nice enough. In my opinion I was taken advantage of regarding the parking charge they levied on me upon check-out. I would not have stayed here if I knew that was going to be the case.”

  • Comfortable rooms, nice views of the city and bay.
  • The ringing of the bells from the streetcars.

“A nice hotel near the top of a very steep hill.”

  • Clean and nice view.
  • No ice maker on our floor.

“Beautiful, clean hotel. Nice flat screen
TV in the room. Great view from our room.”

  • The common places; it seemed to be clean and remodeled recently.
  • The room was small, King Bed was not available, and mostly the curtains didn't have a sun shade.

“Great Location, nicely remodeled, but the rooms weren't completely furnished: no sun shade, and only two towels in the room.”

  • Very comfortable stay.
  • No coffee in rooms. Have to shower, etc and trudge down.

“Hotel desk was very busy and had to wait a little longer than I was comfortable with. At 2:45 they said our room on floor 6 was not ready, but gave us a no view room on floor 2. We could have waited, but were tired from a days jet, train travel and wanted a room. Rate was good, thanks to Priceline! Would stay thee again, but a 4 star rating might be a reach, in my estimation. Very nice experience though.”

  • Very nice, clean and recently renovated very close to public transportation.

“Beautiful rooms and exceeded expectations, the staff was friendly and helpful to provide directions and travel information.”

  • Staff courtesy and service.

“For the price, it far exceeded my expectations. Parking was more than fair. They offered valet 24hour for competitive price. The staff was more than helpful in recommending hot spots and best way to get there. Being in a hurry, we ate during a peak hour in the corner of the in house restaurant, expecting to wait longer on service. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. The room was gorgeous. Obviously newly renovated. No regrets, it's the Hilton.”

  • The bed was very comfortable.
  • The parking fee 45 dollars plus tax was ridiculous!

“It was a nice hotel, but I would not have stayed there if the 51.50 dollars (a day!)parking was disclosed.”
