• Everyone was beyond friendly. The customer service was amazing.
• Nothing that affected our stay.

“The staff, every single person we had interaction with, was incredibly friendly. They went above and beyond the normal call. I would definitely stay and recommend the JW Marriott to others. We had a fabulous weekend.”

• Inexperienced staff.

• Noisy all night from traffic on the street.

“The service and room appointments were very nice but the room faces a busy street which was noisy all night. Other than that it was great!!”

• Very clean, elevators fast and serviceable.
• Coffee was not available everyday in the lobby. Its a very nice gesture to have complimentary coffee in the lobby.

• The bathroom was large with ample counter space.
• The room was a bit cramped and the room door was partially blocked by a structural column.

“The location in relation to Union Square is unbeatable. We were able to walk to any shopping and dining that we wanted. The restaurants and bars in this part of the city do close a bit early, so plan on venturing to other areas for nightlife.”

• Somewhat dated. Pull out sofa bed not comfortable.

• Lack of lobby loses some atmosphere for me.

• Everything was new and clean, the staff was very friendly and new historically commentary about hotel. Flat-screen TV also a perk!
• 3rd floor/restaurant area was still under construction but no big deal! Never heard them working at all! Can't wait to see completed next time!

“Newly renovated with beautiful / high quality touches. Everything felt very clean and fresh! Flat-screen HD TV with HD cable made staying in a fabulous experience. Bed was super comfortable (and coming from a frequent business traveler, that is a huge plus!). Staff was very personable and even knew interesting facts about the history behind the hotel. Location was amazing two blocks from Union Square! Couldn't have a better stay in SF!”

• Nice room small but very nice.
• There were not two Queen beds available as I was told there was just two doubles and being 6"4" they are too small.

• Very upscale and within walking distance to Union Square.
• Parking charge exorbitant.

“Very nice hotel, nice front desk staff, efficient/friendly parking staff. We loved the fact that we were only a block from Union Square.”

• The linens are luscious!
• Small bathroom with a lovely shower but no bathtub.

“The room was huge and luxurious. Nothing beats the fluffy comforter, pillows, and towels. They also have nice in room sundries. No view, but that wasn't a biggie. The bathroom was surprisingly small. If there had been two of us, it would have been a problem.”

• Nice plasma TV and internet availability.
• Asked for double bed and was granted; only to find out they only gave me a single king.

“Very comfortable place to stay and walking distance to Union Square which made my stay hassle free. Service was great and food from room service was very good but, of course, pricey. Nice hotel and would stay there again.”

• Renovation began at 9 am on Monday, loud & dusty.

“We loved this hotel. It was in a great location, close to union square and all the shopping. The room was comfortable, very clean, and contemporary. The hotel staff was very friendly. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I highly recommend it!”
