• Decor of the rooms was contemporary.
• No AC in 95 degrees. Property being rehabbed.

“Very stylish rooms are just being completed as part of the extensive renovation of this hotel. Unfortunately, there is no AC (rarely needed in SF) and no cross ventilation available. This all but the lowest level had been rehabbed. Only issue with the room is no outlets around the desk. Problematic for a business traveler. Near BART, but the surrounding few blocks are in transition. I would not feel comfortable after dark walking the neighborhood.”

• Close to transit, tourism, and downtown. Free Wi-Fi!
• Ambience was dank, w/ dark halls. Construction on rooms above started early each morning.

“While this hotel is a few blocks removed from the major 5-star hotels, it boasts many amenities such as free Wi-Fi that make the extra couple of blocks worth it. It is altogether a welcoming and comfortable experience with a friendly staff that will willingly book tours for you or answer questions and provide directions.”

• That I lived to tell the tale.
• It's location in most dangerous part of city, dirty bathroom, motel not hotel.

“This was not in my opinion a 2.5 star hotel. It was a motel; the rooms exited into the open air, the bath had not been cleaned after previous guest, located in a most dangerous part of town.”

• Wonderful staff, great location, spacious, clean rooms.
• I can't think of anything we didn't like about our hotel.

“This was a last minute trip my sister and I decided to do with our kids. We had a great time. The hotel is in a great location and the room was spacious and very clean. It was walking distance to family friendly dining and bloomys. I would stay here again with or without kids.”

• Good value for the money.
• Off the beaten path.

“Hotel staff was friendly. It was very clean as well as inexpensive. The staff offered to call cabs for us. The ladies cleaning the rooms were very pleasant. I cannot say how much I enjoyed my stay. I will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel”

• Bit older, run down, not every room had internet.
