• Great atmosphere. Food was amazing.
• Beds and pillows were a little hard for my taste.

“Great location down from Union Square. Staff was incredibly helpful to this first time visitor to San Francisco. There were two full sized beds rather than queen and they were a little too firm for my taste, but the rest of my experience made up for that.”

“The location of the hotel was excellent. The room was very small and hard to move around in when getting ready in the morning. The windows let in all the street noise from below. The bed was very firm.”

“Overall we had a great experience with this hotel. We arrived early in the morning and hoped they had a room they could put us in. They upgraded our room for our entire stay. The room was great big and very clean, however, the bed was really hard. The hotel was in a very convenient location, close to Union Square.”

• Location.
• It was too darkly lit.

“The hotel was recently renovated. It had purple paint over chipped walls and baseboards. The lobby was darkly lit. What are they thinking? It still looked like an old beated up hotel with a garish purple paint job. It was not a 4 star, makes one not want to take another chance on Priceline.”

• Location itself was good but on a extraordinarily busy street which made it horrible to get into.
• Small rooms, way too funky modern for my taste, didn't feel comfortable.

“If you are into modern, stylish hotels and are more impressed with the look of the room than the comfort, this would be the place to be. It is much more of a status type of hotel than a comfortable hotel. The rooms were pretty small. The staff was very helpful though.”

• Center city.
• Small TV, couldn't turn on lights, very pricey for a small room, didn't get a kingsize as requested, no room available upon arrival.

“Hotel did not have my room available when I arrived. I was forced to downgrade into a smaller room with double beds for only a modest discount. Very small tv, windows opened only slightly, very pricey for the room I got. Comfortable bed, car service out front, and friendly staff a plus, but probably won't return.”

• The cleanliness and location.
• The small room size.

“Great energy. Great location. Helpful. Good service. Well run machine. They did their best to have valet guys outside to pick up guests as they do not have a drive up front parking area. However, the rooms are small, but if you're not going to be in them much it's not a problem.”

• The hotel lobby and bar was nice.
• The prices at the bar were outrageous. Room small.

“Overall the hotel was nice. The room was very large, but it was clear that the hotel was old. The lobby, bar and restaurant were nice. The prices in the bar were outrageous. Two drinks $32. The bathroom was nice, but pretty small.”

• Architecture was interesting and it had a romantic feel to it. Room was nice with a view or SF.
• The hotel charged us for the for things that we did not require. (IE: phone calls, cots etc. ). This hotel is adequate for younger.

“If you are a traveler that is looking for some club night life then this hotel is for you. If you require sleep, then look for alternative lodgings. We were kept up all the time after the club in the lobby level closed as people continued the party in there rooms!”

• Good location for theatre and Union Square.
• Small bathrooms with cheap looking sink, broken wall tiles. Looked old.

“I would not classify this as a 4 star hotel. It was okay but no ice or coffee readily available, old small TV. Very small standard room but the ceilings were high and there were large mirrors on the walls giving it a larger appearance. It's just a very old hotel. Not bad - just not a 4 star hotel. The staff was wonderful.”

• It is not as good as I thought it would be.
• Lobby is too crowded. You have to show a card to get in.

• Blackberry margarita.
• Getting charged $100 for parking when I never even had a car.

“Overall, nice place except didn't like that they couldn't accommodate 3 people had to pay extra for rollaway or had to pay extra for a bigger room. Also they charged me for 2 nights parking when I didn't even bring a car to the city.”

• They have a trendy club for the weekend, the staff is courteous, and the location is perfect.
• My only complaints are the TV is small and there is a closet but no drawers for your clothes.

“An upscale modern hotel a couple blocks from the heart of Downtown SF. Has a business lounge with multiple computers and a trendy night club that is jammed on weekends. The staff is very courteous and the cleaning staff does a fantastic job. Highly recommend this 4-star hotel.”

• No drawers!

“We thought the hotel was very nice overall. The lobby was too dark but we liked the eccentric decor. The bar area was appropriately dark and decorated with some fine wood paneling. And the tables and bars and chairs made with mirrors was a great feature. The room was clean and we liked the colors, light and inviting but there were no drawers. Surprisingly we had ample space/shelving in the bathroom to place toiletries etc. Loved the towels, large and cushy, and the maid service was nice, not intrusive. We did eat in the restaurant one time and food and service were very good.”
