• Great location. Clean.
• Bathrooms were very old,
  didn't match quality of the rest of the room/hotel.

“Great location with friendly staff. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Like other older San Francisco buildings, the bathrooms could use a remodeling though. Good experience overall.”

• Neighborhood is a little cheesy.

• The hotel design is very attractive!
• I just wish the bathtub would have been bigger.

“The service was excellent and very friendly! The room was beautifully decorated. The mini bar was quite reasonably priced and had a great selection! The hotel is located right in the heart of the union square area which is full of restaurants and clubs and shopping. It was all wonderful!”

“Had problems with check in for a group of 8. Even though all names were given at time of first person to check in (me), a few others had a problem getting there room. They had to wait for me to arrive. Not acceptable. My pregnant friend, whose name they had, was told she could not check in. This hotel was just ok. Good location, but average beyond that.”

• Great decor and convenient location.
• No AC but that seems to be par for the course.

“Beautiful decor and pleasant staff. We didn't dine in our check out the bar but it seemed bustling. There was no AC in the room, which was a bit of a shock at first. Seems to be the norm for SF. Temperatures don't really require it but the room was stuffy until the windows were opened.”

• Very professional and comfortable.
• Heater not working, but received space heater from maintenance.

“The decor is modern, the overall feel was welcoming the staff was friendly-the location is great for downtown activities; shopping and clubbing.”

• Small, manageable, clean and convenient.
• Hotel restaurant not in service - no room service too. Had to go out to eat when I needed to stay in and work. Rooms not wireless either.

• The location was amazing especially for the price.
• Parking is expensive.

“This is a fantastic location. You have easy access to all the galleries on Geary and the stores of market. Good local for good price. The room was nice and clean. View depends on how high up you are but at the 8th floor I had a nice view of Geary and the city. The avid products are also a plus. Be sure you have plenty set aside for parking as it is expensive all over the city and especially at the hotel. I would recommend this place.”

• The staff was outstanding.
• The room was much smaller than expected.

“As stated before the room was much smaller than expected and was very warm, in fact too hot for comfortable sleeping. There was not good closet space or places to put clothes away so that luggage could be put away to provide more living space.”
