“Great if traveling and using it for a place to sleep.”

  • The Oasis is located one block from bus; it's $50 cheaper than FWharf
  • No A/C open window w/o screen or glass; not the best neighborhood

“The Oasis is a good alternative to the pricey hotels on Fisherman's Wharf and elsewhere. There was no AC, which was needed in June/July. If you open the window for air, there is no screen or glass. You are looking right at the street. The room is nice enough if you're going to leave early and return late. Not recommended for families unless you are used to inner city living and possible dangers. Not a good place to go for a late night stroll, especially to the east. The hotel is a few blocks west of the Castro district. This doesn't matter unless you are thinking of blindly exploring the area. There was nothing in the information that even remotely suggested that the hotel was located 2-3 blocks from the Castro, for obvious reasons.”
