• Great location. Near Fisherman's Wharf. Two blocks from a point of interest on Lombard St.
• Parking garage was tight and had to pay $26 a night.

“This hotel was in a great location and easily accessible to most main areas of San Francisco. From our room we were able to view the Golden Gate Bridge and see the top of the Exploratory. The rooms seemed clean; however, the bathroom was a little tight on space. But overall, a good value for the parking, room, and location. We would stay here again.”

• The location was perfect for us. Close to my family.
• Heater went on and off constantly with lots of noise.

“I would gladly come again. This is not the first time my husband and I were guests there. My daughter and her family live 6 blocks away and it is walking distance.”

• The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was a little above average.
• The halls had a bit of an odor.

“The staff was very helpful and had good advice on where to eat and how to get around the town. I didn't have a car on this trip, but I thought the price to park was a little excessive.”

• Clean, comfortable and close to fisherman's wharf.
• The parking was tight and only one access from garage to lobby, with pull fire door to the lobby elevator.

“It was okay. The $26 plus tax for 1 night parking was offset. It was quiet and that's good on a busy street. The parking garage was tight and lobby access with luggage and check in were not convenient. We stayed at another hotel just a block away with free parking, elevator easily accessible from parking lot with luggage, nice room and huge bathroom. I would recommend that hotel vs. the Comfort Inn, unless you had no other choice.”

• Great location, very clean, helpful staff, good breakfast room.
• Elevators were very slow, room windows were so dirty it was hard to see out.

• Good, safe location on Van Ness.
• The air condition didn't really help that much.

“Good, safe hotel in a great location in SF. Perfect for solo travelers in town for just a day or two, or travelers on a budget. Nice, friendly staff. No frills, nothing fancy, just a good place to rest your head, take a shower, and hold your stuff.”

• Cozy, nice bridge view, moderately convenient location.
• All rooms scattered in different floors which is inconvenient with kids.

“1. The bathrooms need refurbishment. The wall paper comes out. Stains on the sides of bath. 2. The rooms are not assigned together despite as requested on the day of early check-in. 3. One of the male reception staff is not friendly in providing bus route map.”

• The staff was friendly and quick to meet our needs. They did an excellent job helping all customers and keeping the dinning area clean and well stock.
• The staff was slow in delivering out cot.

“The hotel is located near the famed Lombard street and had easy access to dining. The hotel was clean with friendly service. We will be coming back to stay at this hotel again.”

• Location for sightseeing was perfect.
• Continental breakfast was somewhat limited - nightly rates high in comparison to other hotels.

“Overall, a good experience. I would recommend for others to stay at the Comfort Inn by the bay. The room rates were somewhat high, however, the convenient location made it well worth the difference.”

• It was very clean and the staff was professional.
• I think it is horrible that you charge customers to park.

“Everything was great except for the fact that I am very upset about being charged $26 for parking. I was a customer and should not have been charged. That will stop me from recommending this hotel.”

• Excellent Location.
• Cramped parking.

“For the price that we paid, the location and amenities were excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean. However, parking is very difficult, but considering it is in San Francisco, this is understandable.”

“The hotel was in a great location to go out in SF. Easy to find with many attractions within walking distance. They rooms were just as I expected. Clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was good but very crowded.”

• I liked the continental breakfast.
• Hated the $25 nightly parking fee, walls are paper thin & the mattress had an indentation making it lop-sided.

“One of the night desk workers were very unapproachable & unfriendly each time we spoke with her. The walls were so thin we could hear complete conversations next door.”
