“I would recommend this hotel to seniors and families with children. The breakfast was more in quantity and variety than I'd expected, the staff was exceptionally friendly and the room was bigger and more comfortable than I'd expected. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.”

“Finding the Queene Anne Hotel was such a lovely suprise as it can be overwhelming with all the choices available in San Francisco. The first thing you will notice upon arrival is the ambiance and charm. First of all it is located adjacent to Japantown, a short walk to many interesting locales. The bus routes are nearby and even by taxi you can be in Union Square for $5. It is on a quiet corner in a busy city! They have fireplaces in the lobby which made it very homey. On my weekend stay I was alone and using laptop in lobby by fireplace, a family was down there chatting and several couples made there way in to enjoy the area - we also all enjoyed the afternoon sherry and cookies! I felt at home; and didnt mind the activities around me - they actually added to the feel; and I felt less isolated as an individual traveller. I also enjoyed sitting by the fire later at night after a night on the town. I say down there and had some tea and felt like I was home. The room was quiet, comfy, simple but in a really cool way - heavy satin like bedspread, dark period furniture. The bathroom small but pristine. I felt I found a jewel amongst many other wonderful hotels available. They also have a parking lot on Octavia which was $16/nite. I had a car, so it worked for me. I feel the Q.A. is a great location, offers a.m. continental breakfast, cozy ambience with a period charm. The people who work there are super friendly and very attentive. You will feel very comfortable as a solitary traveller. Fine with kids or as a couple.”

“The hotel was built in the late 1800's with a lot of attention to detail. The upgrades made in the bathrooms made for a very comfortable and pleasant experience. The sitting room was conducive to lingering and chatting with others.”

“We were so pleasantly surprised with the hotel, it was lovely! Nice glass of sherry and a cookie at 4 - good breakfast in the am. Free parking! Staff was friendly and helpful at all hours. We'll stay again often.”

“I really enjoyed staying in the Queen Anne, and would definitely be back to stay there again. They offer limo services each morning, which was very convenient. The wine and cookies each night was also very much appreciated. If you are looking for a charming small hotel this is a very good choice. The only downside is that there is not much going on within the few blocks surrounding the Queen Anne. This was both good (it was quiet at night) and bad (we had to take a cab/muni/BART to get everywhere). Union Square is about 15 blocks away, which didn't seem like much (I am from Manhattan), but walking uphill is an absolute killer. It makes the walk feel much more tasking.”

“This romantic classic Victorian Hotel has a great and helpful staff. They gave us directions to local restaurants and even handled our parking quickly. I will be staying there again.”

“The hotel has a lot of character. It's so quaint with its antique style of decorations. The afternoon snack and breakfast were nice. The staff was friendly, although slow at times. The first room I was in was small, stinky, and had a broken heater. The staff was happy to move me, but I feel bad for anyone who gets stuck in that room. I received a free upgrade, and that room was big, cozy and warm with a nice view. The hotel's location isn't the best. I wasn't able to walk anywhere worthwhile. But, the hotel offers free limo service Downtown in the mornings (but then you have to find your own way back). For the price, this hotel is great. I'd definitely go back.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“Go to the Queen Anne!! You must experience it at least once in your life. I loved every minute of my stay. My room was spacious and graciously appointed and decorated. The king bed was very comfortable and the room had a large TV, beautiful antique furniture and a wonderful wooden table which was great to work on with my computer. Plus they give you high speed internet service for free! The bathroom had beautiful marble tile and everything you need from nice little soaps to luxurious towels and a hair dryer. There are several delightful sitting rooms with fireplaces where they serve you tea & cookies or English sherry. Breakfast is also included in a brilliant dining room and there's a small garden courtyard. I used the their complimentary limo service to my conference each day at the Moscone Center and Henry the driver was absolutely a dear. There is great value here and I can't wait to return. I will highly recommend the Queen Anne to all my friends.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Amenities at Queen Anne Hotel, San Francisco
